Do your diligence on him-strongly advise against
Very arrogant, unprofessional, mishandling of samples, doesn't listen to the patient - would rather hear himself speak. Has been permanently penalized for professional misconduct - which , had I known, I NEVER would have seen him. He wrecked my treatment plan with a referring Dr and then when questioned (his assistant out the call on speaker apparently), he again just wanted to hear himself speak. When I said, let me get this out first - his response was 'Find another Dr' and hung up. Any of my Doctors and professional associates will tell you that I speak professionally and with courtesy - I did nothing to warrant that treatment . Save yourself the trouble. See someone else, avoid this guy like the plague if you want professional care and interaction.

I have been with Dr. Jan for almost 15 years. He has always been upfront and honest with me. I am the same with him. He has taken extraordinary care of me and never made me feel like he didn’t care. I have had numerous surgeries, revisions, etc and was always a part of the process. I have never had a doctor take an interest or such good care of me EVER. Could never thank him enough for all he has done. I owe him everything.

Oh boy
Does not tolerate any input from a patient. Has limited resources for treating pain management, When I gave information I had experienced with a drug interaction he said I don't need you to lecture me.and walked out. Find someone else.

Wonderful experience
My visit to the office of Dr. Jan was great. The staff are very professional and treat you as a patient and not just a number. Dr. Jan reviewed my history and asked me great questions in order to understand my issue and pain level. He doesn't rush you out of the office and was extremly professional in his approach to solving my problem. I have been back several times and I have followed his advice and feel much better. I always feel comfortable when I go to his office and am treated by him.

Great Experience
Second time I saw Dr. Jan and walked out totally satisfied. Gave me an injection for severe sciatica and a prescription to fill as he said only if needed. No nonsense Dr. Who listened and knew right how to treat my pain.

Massapequa Pain Management (Physical Medication)
New patient- Massapequa Pain Management PLEASE, Dont CONSIDER this office for your Pain Management (Physical Medication) unless you do your homework. UNPROFESSIONAL, 100%. (Seniors)- My wife & I have NEVER experienced an office with PA's so UNPROFESSIONAL. Day 1, PA went over medical pain history. (My Wife) They suggested stay with "Same" medicine & recommended extended release. It required authorization from medical insurance Company. Insurance contacted Jan's office several times they did not respond for 8 days their responsibility state reason for "Extended" release medication. My Wife and I called several times to find out what's going on with the authorization, no response or return calls Jan's office. 8th day, medicine authorization was rejected, we only got a call from medical insurance company, Not Jan's office. Now we need to start over. Since we called several times to complain and find out status, they said we were rude, (Not Rude, Frustrated). Unprofessional Office.

Signed, Frustrated with Massapequa Pain Management – Sep 06, 2022

Dr Jan was able to quickly diagnose my leg pain that I have had for two months. (I also had same leg pain 3 years ago.) I had gone to two different doctors before Dr Jan and neither was able to diagnose me. Dr Jan was very knowledgeable about my condition. He didn’t want to give me an injection immediately but wanted me to take a steroid to lessen inflammation first. I was impressed with Dr. Jan and I will be back.

Terrible provider. Shouted at a patient while I was in the waiting room. When is it ever OK to yell at a patient. This provider should not be allowed to see patients. He is judgmental, unprofessional, and uncaring. If only I could leave zero stars.

This Doctor spoke in terms that were filled with medical language that I did not understand. I repeated asked him to simplify the treatment that he was suggesting. He also was bragging about the groups that he was affiliated with. I left confused and angry. I do not plan on going back.

Dr. Jan is rude, over bearing and egotistical. He truly doesn't care for the well being of his patients. He doesn't listen to his patients. He prescribed medication and the patient became violently sick from the medication. Whe the patient called Dr. Jan and expressed this Dr. Jan told his to deal with it and take another dose of medication. The patient wound up in the emergency room due to a bad reaction to the medication. When the patient expressed concerns about negative side effects to the medication Dr. Jan did not care. He became angry the patient would not take the medication and he tried to intimidate the patient into continuing to take the medication.

Gonna make this short and sweet - don't bother going to this individual. Not worth the time money and effort for someone who clearly does not care and is in it for the money. Find yourself a more compassionate healthcare provider. This guy is a narcissistic overbearing jerk.

Love Doctor Jan -Absolutely love his work. But I have a genuine distaste for the staff. Due to the actions of the staff i've decided to go elsewhere. Its a business if I don't care for the actions of the staff unfortunately for Dr. Jan it reflects on his practice. I do Not HAVE to go there and spend my Money on workers that stress me out. Very Unfortunate.

Never failed a drug test. Complained about side effects every month never wrote it in his notes. Started weening off of sublocade my decision and abandons me without 30 day notice from last injection. Ended up hospitalized day after was supposed to get my shot. Staff was rude to hospital social worker and hung up on her. While patients are offering to sell me their scripts for money in parking lot. He lets his emotions get in the way of treatment. Never spoke longer than 5 mins. Not a man of his word.

I give him a 1 because it doesn’t let u give him a 0 , So unprofessional the office staff to the Dr he is to blame if he can’t run his staff right , I missed a appointment do to a family emergency and called them not even a hour later after dealing with the family emergency . The wannabe secretary on the other end goes off on me and says they can never see me at there office again because I missed the appointment, Stay away from this doctor office they don’t care about u or what your going through , I can see why there reviews are horrible.

So rude, full of himself. Have been to many drs. Never been treated like this before. Horrible! Makes you feel like your pain isn’t real. Worst thing to do to someone with an invisible disease. Maybe he needs to go back to school and learn about other diseases. Never treated my pain.
