Do NOT visit. On December 11 I visited the emergency room with a cut on the knuckle of my ring finger. When I arrived, the waiting room was completely empty, and I was admitted quickly. That is where the positive experience ended. The nurse who first saw me asked the basic questions- height, weight, etc. When I told her my weight she said 'whoa!!!!' I am 5'10' and wear a size 6, and work out or ride my horse 6 days a week. I asked if my weight was a problem, and she shrugged and responded that it was lower than hers. She didn't look at the cut finger, or even offer to replace the bloody paper towel I was using to stop the bleeding. I then waited an hour for the doctor, Dr. Thomas Kupka, who immediately said I'd need stitches, and that he'd be back to take care of it. I then waited another 45 minutes for him to come back. At this point he was getting ready to start stitching my finger, when I asked him if the cut should be cleaned before he stitched it. He said, 'oh, it wasn't cleaned
