He is outstanding in quickly knowing what to doin
Only saw him in Athens ER He was wonderful as he quickly determined my problem. I had been at this ER one week prior and they sent me home with much pain only to return one week later Thank God Dr Luckey was on call.

On August 6th at 12:30 a.m. I was brought into the Culpeper ER. Dr luckey looked at my records from the day before, came into the room looked at my recent knee replacement and my swollen ankle. He took the initiative and said he didn't like the swelling of my ankle and it could be from the swelling and redness from my knee. Again, took the initiative and called the surgeon (1:30 am) on call at Martha Jefferson in Charlottesville. Had a sedative administered to me for the pain. He did not receive and response from them for a few hours. Then called them back and finally had my surgeon on the phone and explained in detail my situation. By 6:00 or 7:00 a.m. I was transferred to the hospital that I had the knee replacement. Dr Thomas luckey went the distance and I am so grateful for his troubleshooting and taking charge of the situation.

Hope you don't get this guy in the emergency room if you are close to dying. He had selective hearing & was quick to misdiagnose me. Was more concerned with continuing the personal conversation that he was having with his aide. This is the type of doctor who looks forward to an easy day, instead of running tests for patients who come in with an issue that has been bothering them for a long time. Will pass you off to specialist, & hopefully the right one.
