Disappointing, I saw him years ago he promised he would take care of me if it got worse. Well it got worse he said he couldn’t help me to go to pay rheumatoid dr. I left crying went for at least 3 more opinions and had a fusion. He was very different after he was chief surgeon. I felt he wanted easy surgeries not too intricate

I saw Dr.Mauri when I was in the hospital, my leg had become very weak (couldn't lift it more than a few inches off the floor) and MRI's showed a herniated disc. Dr.Mauri prescribed steroids and when I questioned him about my leg regaining strength and the disc, he said that within 2 weeks I would be fine. It didn't happen. The steroids weakened my immune system and then I developed shingles. I don't know how he practices medicine.

I was recommended to Dr. Mauri for my back injury. I found he was very easy to talk to, he listen to my concerns and was able to explain things to me in terms that were understandable and clear.He made sure I took all non invasive steps before he would do surgery. After surgery, he spoke with family members, took time to explain what was done and answered all questions and concerns. His has a reassuring bedside manner that lets you feel like you are in the best of hands. Can't thank him enough.

We are so fortunate to have had Dr. Mauri for my husband's recent spinal surgery. Dr. Mauri's knowledge, experience and calm demeanor gave us great comfort knowing he was in the best of hands during and after his surgery. It's hard to put into words how grateful we are.

I saw Dr Mauri for years due to kyposcoliosis from Marfan Syndrome. My curve was 54 degrees when I started seeing him. My curve became 74 degrees then 78 degrees. I was feeling terrible but dr Mauri said it was not from my back. But I had lost 6 in height. He said he would not operate until my curve was in the 80's!! He had the nerve to tell me to go see a chest surgeon to make more room. I went for a second,third and 4th opinion. All three surgeons said I should of had surgery at 50 degrees.
