Dr. Merle used a plastic mock up of the human heart to explain exactly what had happened to me. In the nearly four months since my surgery (by a different doctor and facility that's out of network of my insurance), no one had done that, and I really appreciated it.

Dr. Merle recently performed a triple by pass open heart surgery on me. He was honest about my recovery and gave me confidence that I can be a candidate for a much needed double knee replacement. What better encouragement than a doctor who knows that after recovery from this major surgery another will be taking place. I would most definitely recommend him. Never heard of him before my surgery, but a lot of positives since.

Sadly despite this physician being likeable his practice & his office are less than. My 80 year old mother has a severe blockage and was to have surgery to clear it. 3 times this surgery was canceled due to "unexpected emergency with other patients." Even made it to pre op and prepped and ready to go to be canceled and sent home. Given date for 2 days later and a day before canceled too. We quit and went somewhere else. Office staff rude and uncaring as well. Looking into complaint medical board

I would totally recommend Dr. Merle. He made me feel at ease before surgery but was very open about what to expect. I did great and have been very active for a little over 3 years. He has a way of encouraging you to keep active after surgery.
