I really do love this place, the receptionists are always very nice. My favorite thing about Rural Psychiatry though, is that in my almost 30 years of “living” (more like suffering) I’ve finally found the best Psychiatrist I’ve ever had. He’s made a huge impact on my life, and continues to do so. He’s quick, direct and straight to the point, which I like a lot. You can also tell he cares about what he does, and that he’s really well educated in what he does too. He’s never made me feel judged, crazy or stupid about anything. He’s genuinely there to help, I love my Dr. Tom Peterson! Thanks for all that you do! Sincerely, -Alyssa Bryant

I also went through a period of anxiety and was assigned Dr. Peterson for my treatment. He does not spend time to speak or listen with his patients and is mostly concerned about pushing drugs. I felt worse with him as my doctor than when I decided to stop all contact with him. He would often try to use scare tactics to ensure I kept taking an unnecessarily high dose of medication. He seemed more concerned about how many patients he could push through than the well being of his patients.

Showed no compassion for my suffering, was cold, abrupt, rushing to finish visit. Didn't care about the problem causing my upset, only about prescribing meds. I was going to be admitted to the hospital, but sat on hall floor for hours before getting room. They refused my insulin, saying I didn't need it. Used paper plates w/plastic cutlery. Head nurse (ignored me) banned me from CPC permanently. No STADTER values. They failed accreditation, and seem to be running a shock shop to make money

Dr. Peterson showed no concern for my wellbeing. He was rude and pompous during both visits I had with him. He rushes his visits and made my anxiety worse. I went in feeling great to feeling anxious about all the little things again. I have never experienced a doctor visit this bad in my life.
