I. Over 10 years of being seen by Dr. Strattenholtzer and I've never had a bad experience. Wish he was closer to my home but I won't change providers just because of the drive. Most appointments are video because of my drive. So this is very helpful and appreciated.

Weeds out the legitimate cases and is very kind.
Been coming here for years for a chronic nerve and muscle pain condition. Am very thankful to be able to establish care with Schrattenholzer after trying to work with other various care providers in the Portland area. Have had no problems working with appointments both in-person and through virtual telehealth and Legacy in general has been quite supportive. Schrattenholzer has consistently been kind, professional and understanding. My guess is most of the negative reviews are from denied cases, he's always been helpful, very progressive and open to discussions and alternative treatments. Best in the business. Thanks.

Fell 30’ from a telephone pole broke my neck
After my fall in 2003 I had surgery,3 level cervical fusion, and I regained the feeling in my arms and hands.Still my pain was intolerable and Dr.Schrattenholzer treated me with medication and a radio nerve ablation and kept me working as a lineman. He listens to us patients and really cares about our wellbeing. This Dr. got me back to work and I made it to retirement from the Bell system in 2016

Shrattenholzer rejected the diagnosis & recommendation for surgery by his own clinic's surgeon. He told me I was just a drug seeker. (Oddly enough at another Dr took one look at my films & agreed with the surgeon, ordering an immediate epidural & follow-up) As I sat crying in Shrattenholzer's office he told me the surgeon had quit and her opinion did not matter. That he believed pain was all in the mind and no pain killers were needful. A sadistic jerk with a God complex. No happy patients.

Dr. Schrattenholzer is kind, courteous and generous with his sympathy. He is a very busy doctor so he cannot always be generous with his time. I have seen him for 5 years and in that time I have lost weight, become fit, and adopted a child. I would highly recommend him!

This guy is condescending, rude, late for appointments then leaves early, was supposed to have "thoroughly read my chart" but didn't have a clue about me, made me cry, cut my current meds drastically then didn't send in the prescription (because he left my appt early to go do something else) so I didn't get it for 5 days, then had me come back and when I told him how miserable I was said "what do you want me to do?" He gave me another medication that has a $301.00 co-pay AFTER insurance! Yuck.
