Absolutely unbelievable
My Mother was “ treated” by doctor Whalen at Norman regional porter campus November of 2020. It seems everytime I post our review it disappears. I can't chance any other person experiencing him. My mother was in the hospital from Monday until she passed on Saturday morning. She had pneumonia, caught by the radiologist. However, her admission note reported negative. She sat in the hospital, ALONE for almost 6 days with little or no treatment. We called the hospital 10 times daily asking for her physician to update us on her care. He NEVER called until Sat. On to say she died from an aneurysm. Her death certificate cause shows pneumonia. She had a chest X-ray the day of admit and then 5 minutes before she passed away. My mother suffocated just after her 58th birthday. We don’t believe he EVER evaluated her. We got her things in a trash bag. He should not be in medicine. My family will never be the same. Wrongful death statue is 2 years. He got away with it.

Dr Whalen is the most unprofessional physician I’ve ever met, and I’ve been a nurse for the last 13 years and I’ve worked in all areas of a hospital. Dr Whalen was more concerned about threatening my family about Covid protocols than he was about treating our father. His actions were solely punitive and retaliatory directed at my family because he decided he did t like us even though he’s never met us. He walked in the door in a rage with a red face and bloodshot eyes. He barely looked at our father bc that was obviously not his priority. His threats caused my gravely ill father a great deal of stress as well as the rest of our family. To say I wouldn’t recommend him is a huge understatement. Our experience with him has been horrible!

Over the pass week and a half I'm finding it very hard to watch someone I love that went into the hospital under his care and have seen her health seriously decline with NO help from this doctor. It seems to me she would be in better care under a different doctor might and possibly save her life. Finding it to be very difficult to hold back my feeling best way of saying it is NEGLECTED locked away in a corner floor left unattended without a care that she is there for. I've been watching what is

Dr. Whalen was my hospitalist in July, 2015 and he never did an assessment on me and sometimes, just stood at the doorway, never entering my room, and said, How are you? I answered him, and he said, Ok, see you tomorrow. This is a sorry excuse for a doctor and I am a registered nurse , so I know what is supposed to be done and he never did an assessment on me like he should have, but I sure got charged for an assessment. I know most patients don't know what the doctor is supposed to do but
