Exceptional doctor
Dr. Canan is an extremely knowledgeable and caring doctor, who takes the time to talk through any issues and questions with thoughtful answers and empathy. He comes across as extremely knowledgeable, but also has the humility and honesty to say when something is outside his expertise (yet he’ll look it up on the spot and discuss it). His staff is also super efficient and friendly, facilitating the whole bureaucratic process which can sometimes be a nightmare without proper help. I’ve left my visits there feeling relieved to have a course of action that I understand and feel comfortable with.

He only looked at the computer. He may be good but I found him distant and cold. I find him depressing. I don't feel any better.

My husband has previously gone through two open heart by-pass surgeries, had stents put into his heart and has had a stroke. He is 70 years old. In the two or so years that he has been under Dr. Canan's care, his health has improved dramatically. Dr. Canan adjusted all of his medications, and has him feeling so much better. His follow-up and monitoring of my husbands heart conditions and his overall health conditions has been truly a blessing for us. We highly recommend him.

Dr. Canan recently cared for me at a stay in St. John's and I was incredibly impressed by his expertise, demeanor, and thoroughness. He patiently explained everything to me and followed through in an exemplar professional manner. Great Doctor.
