In 1981 Dr Fitzgibbons performed surgery on my left arm that received a compound fracture in a car accident. I was only 13 and the advice was to amputate but this amazing Dr operated and saved it. He is my hero always and forever!

Didnt listen to me after surgery when I was in pain! He told me I had a drug problem-not true. Had ulcers forming causing blisters/necrotic tissue he didn't see because he refused to look at my foot. I was in the hospital that whole time too so it was not due to lack of opportunity. Heel bone exposed for months after almost a yr of debridement bone infected & heel bone removed by different Dr instead of suggested amputation. Haven't walked in 2 years can't walk w/o heel prosthetic ever again
