I have suffered with insomnia for most of my life. I went in to MercyOne Ugrent Care with sleep deprivation. I told Dr. Gerdis that I had taken some over the count sleep aid eight hours before I came in and they went becoming ineffective. All I wanted was I prescription for some sleeping pills. I am confident that I was 100% sober at this time. Dr. Gerdis classified me as a drug overdose. Next thing I know the cops and ambulance were there to take me the Hospital. Three hours later the Doctor at the Hospital determined that the over the counter sleep aids I took earlier was not significant and called in a prescription for some sleeping pills. My opinion of Dr. Gerdis is he is arrogant and I question his competency and ethics.

Our 13 month old was covered in a rash from head to toe and had a 101 degree temperature. Dr. Gerdis was so kind and calming for us as parents! He can come off a little nonchalant, but when he came back to talk to us about the test results and our daughter’s treatment plan, he was very in depth and we left feeling calm and reassured that our sick little girl would be on the mend soon. What a kind doctor and so thankful for him!

He was the worst doctor I have ever been to. Came into the room accusing me of not liking doctors because I hadn’t been to one in awhile. Never asked me anything about how I was feeling and refused to listen when I tried to tell him. If I hadn’t had a great experience with all of the other Mercy personnel I would never go back again. N

Shows very little care or concern when working in the urgent care clinic. He didn't even come in with any of my charts or records. This doctor drug his feet across the floor with a piece of folded up paper and pen to doodle with. I was simply in there for a blood draw which he said he'd have by morning. Yea, that's just what he said - the urgent care clinic confirmed that he sometimes will just say that.
