Dr. Timothy Hofeldt, MD

Dr Holfelt is the first psychiatrist I've ever had who took their time and always used best practices when addressing medication changes. He's also the first psychiatrist I felt the need to publicly review and that's because he truly is remarkable in his profession. He has a vast knowledge base that is well suited to even the most complex cases and I especially appreciated his holistic approach to Mental Health. I worked with Dr. Hofeldt for 2 years and during that time he explored a well-rounded approach to treatment that included supplements, lifestyle changes and lightbox therapy. Unlike other Psychiatrists, I never felt like a guinea pig having random medications thrown at me to see which one stuck. He was always cautious, thoughtful, and up to date with each suggestion. His patient-centered treatment is unmatched in my experience, and so was the time he took during appointments and his sincere care for me as an individual.

I experienced a litany of ethics violations while under the care of Dr. Hofeldt.

I have moved around the country a lot for work and hands down, Dr. Hofeldt is the best psychiatrist I've ever had. He seems to genuinely care about you and check ins feel more like a real conversation than a doctor just checking boxes. He always looks to potential lifestyle tweaks that could be made before looking at medication which I appreciate. He uses language that makes you feel like you aren't less of a person for your condition- he compares any necessary medication as needing eyeglasses for blurry vision. He is also great about checking in on your mood and happiness each time. Love him and would highly recommend.

I have been seeing Dr. Hofeldt for just around 2 years. Always enjoy the appointments and truly feel that I have a partner with him. Medication management is more of a discussion about my options, what pros/cons are and empowering me to best understand my options. Feels like he really cares and has become a very valuable resource in my life.

Nothing but great things to say! I was also new to town and Dr. Hofeldt was very accommodating to get me in quickly. He is the best psychiatrist I've had, hands down. Not only is he very attentive to his patients, but he also is knowledgeable when it comes to insurance (rare with doctors in my experience) and does his best to make everything go smoothly. I have highly recommended him to all of my friends should they ever need a psychiatrist.

Wonderful compassionate and very practical. Never found him to be judgmental at all. He really helped me when I moved across the country and had a difficult time finding another doctor quickly.
