Dr Hudson is careful but decisive. I like how he is conservative in proceeding to a goal. He does not make decisions without evidence to support his conclusions. I find him to be a very good communicator, he takes the time to answer all of my questions fully. He takes time with each appointment. He has a precise manner, which I find comforting. At one of my early appointments me said something that gave me hope, "You have heart disease, not heart failure". He was right, I have since recovered.

I feel upset and stressed after appointments and leave without my questions answered, or without asking them because I feel so bad. He peppers his speech with barbed comments. I go to the appointments determined to ask more questions and share more symptoms, but I stop trying after a few minutes. I only keep going to this cardiologist because I'm afraid of getting a worse doctor. It is Kaiser Permanente after all...

Dr Hudson is intelligent but is a poor communicator and can be condescending. He doesn't explain things or include me in decisions. He doesn't fully explain risks and doesn't give optionts.
