Great Dr.
Dr. Lahood has been my Dr for several years now. He has shown he truly cares about his patients overall health. He listens to your concerns and actually takes actions on them instead of just ignoring them, for example He saved me from an unnecessary hip surgery by investigating my problem, ordered proper imaging to find my pain was my back and not my hip. He took the time to listen to me, took action and helped me. I am grateful for his care.

I saw Dr. LaHood for several years. When he was independent, he was fantastic. When he joined with UnityPoint, he stopped listening. At my final visit, I went in with a concern about joint pain. He brushed me off. He told me to exercise (I already do) and just take a painkiller. I was diagnosed by a different doctor with arthritis. Don’t go to this office if you have a choice.

Dr. LaHood refused to allow me to get my b12 injections at this office because it would cost him too much. I went to Walgreens and purchased what I would need to self-administer. It cost me less than $20 for a supply that would last me a few months.

Not allowed to ask questions or discuss concerns during annual check-ups. Have to make a separate appt if you want to be allowed to talk to dr rather than sit quietly and accept handouts. It's a scheme to over-bill private insurance companies. New thing since joining Unity Point. He was a much better doctor when practice was independent

Dr. LaHood is very nice and caring. I believe he saved my life. I was diagnosed with an early stage of ovarian cancer and now I am in remission.

Dr LaHood seems to have a hard time listening and understanding the situations of patients, also ignores past diagnoses if they don't align to his agenda. Last year I spent 3 weeks trying to get an appt for an awful upper respiratory deal. They denied me an appt and gave me antibiotics. When I kept getting sicker, they denied me appts twice more saying the antibiotics will work eventually I ended up in the hospital with severe bronchitis. Staff and doc are rude if you value your health go elsew
