Not a pcp
My view of a primary care physician, and their view of a primary care physician is very different. If you’re going to the Halpert family medicine as a specialist, that’s perfect. If you’re going as a primary care in general physician to assist in your general health care, it’s not the best choice. They require every three months check up to fill out any forms and for any issues besides cardiology, they refer you to other places. - I found a staff friendly, but entirely unhelpful

Terrible team, they bill me and I wasn't treated
Went for workers comp they asked me to switch as primary care, asked me to leave in the middle of an evaluation because I didn't agree with their policy and then billed my insurance

Patient zero
The worst of the worst in billing! They submit incorrect information and lose out on hundreds of dollars. At the same time, they hold your test results hostage until you schedule a follow-up phone call after your checkup. During the $150, 2-minute, phone call you find out that you need to take more vitamin D or something. You get stuck with this bill because insurance does not consider it as part of the annual physical. The office will not allow you to get blood drawn first to avoid the double charge - they force the visit + phone call. This is extremely scammy.

Ripoff!
Went to see the RN at the Long Beach office for a suspected ear wax buildup. The RN checked and found no blockage. Paid a $30 copay. Then the Dr. Halper office sent a $300 bill to the insurance which they refused to pay. Called the office, no help. Stay away from them.

For $500 a month, you Too can see a Dr who earned his MD in the West Indies. Why would a dr fail to mention his Lack of Training ?? Obviously pure Embarrassment. Not Being being able pass your GMAT must Be a huge disgrace to your family - your poor dad And brother. Must be hard not being As smart. Dr Halper truly goes the extra mile. He leaves his cell On His after hours on voicemail, Neglecting to tell you he will only return your call if he likes You, not regarding the situation or if it’s an emergency -purely contingent Upon his opinion of you. And congrats to Dr Halper on His new magazine cover! While his patient population may be undereducated, I can literally get anyone with a giant head and Some cash the cover of A magazine and even list them As a “top diabetes MD” they keep inaccurate charts... I was given 2 drugs and There was An extreme reaction Between For possible serotonin syndrome. I could go on For an hour but the space

Whether you see Todd, or Andrew or Danielle each one takes their time & explains what’s going on w/ ur health & gives medical advice. I love it there & highly recommend this practice!

Amazing Doctor! Dr. Todd diagnosed a tumor in my chest that many doctors did not find. I was a 39 year old runner and I just chalked up my difficulty with my usual 3 miles as a cold or maybe I was just getting older. He did a full check up with blood and sent me for a CAT scan. Turns out I had a 12.5 x 12.5 cm tumor in my chest which was diagnosed as a very rare form of Non Hodgkin Lymphoma. He was in touch with me the whole time and continues to monitor my health. He saved my life!

Used to be an excellent and well run office. Have been coming here for years. Now the office staff is extremely unprofessional and at times downright rude. Sorry I had to interrupt their conversations, Could not not get same day appt. when I called at 915am, and instead gave me the next day at four in afternoon, not even first thing in morning.. Flu results were expected in two hours and now it’s been two days and results still not in. A wonderful practice has been ruined.

Some of the things people are complaining about in these reviews seem very childish. The first time I went to see him was because my pressure was extremely high and needless to say I was quite worried. He did speak to me as if we were friends and that helped me to relax. I travel from Suffolk County to see him. I never have a problem making an appointment often times the same day. Never had to wait he is a stickler for being on time. If my appointment is for 2 he calls me into the office at 2.

The negative comments before me are true. This office and doctor are very unprofessional. Expect to be treated a by Physicians Assistants and also expect that the dumb and rude receptionists will have you on hold for a very long time. His wife, Tanya is very rude, and Halper himself talks to patients As if you were friends. People need their doctors to be professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. This office runs itself like a firm. Your health is not a priority! They’re about volume for $$$

The worst doctor with the worst office I have ever experienced (and I have experienced many). He withdrew medication without any warning and left me stuck without critical meds and then tried to call me a drug seeker (these were not controlled substances). My new pcp said he was floored by how bad he seemed and said this doctor went out of his way to cause my suffering. DO NOT SEE HIM!

Dr. Halper is cool. Hes very laid back doing his job and gets you in and out, especially for annual physicals, which can be convenient sometimes because other times its hard to just blurt out all your fears and concerns when his answer are short and vague. Getting an appointment is easy and he's quick giving you referrals to specialists. His wife Tanya Halper, saw her once, didnt like her much..shes was short and annoyed because i was late during a really bad winter storm. Although, its fairly eas

Pls be very careful with this doctor. Very difficult to get them on phone. The doctor himself was very rude to me and acted like a gangster! The front office seem not to understand the essence of prompt telephone services. By the way, I was an actual patient and am willing to write more if he tries to debunk this review. Will never recommend any one to them, ever!!!

Todd was wonderful until I moved to another state leaving me with only enough prescriptions to suffice to see another dr with the exception of o e in which I could have seizures and withdraw under horrible repercussions. Knowing I am a primary care giver to three children under the age of 9 and a husband who works out of town. I do not recommend him unless you plan on seeing him for life because at this point I felt livid knowing he refilled all other meds yet would not refill this one.

I am convinced that Dr. Halper orchestrated these good reviews himself. I am still shocked that he is a legitmate physician. For starters, he is extremely unprofessional with ZERO bedside manners. He jammed a needle into my arm and squeezed a painful abscess with no warning. When I complained he said stop being a wuss. What type of doctor speaks to a new patient like that? He made distasteful jokes the whole time and never forewarned me of the pain or pressure. His demeanor is very unprofess
