This young oral surgeon has a lot to learn. He lacks patient empathy therefore he doesn’t take into consideration the comfort and care of his patients. My dentist and I let Todd know I was going to be an anxious patient and I was difficult to numb and to keep numb. The quote I received for sedation, which I knew was in my best interest, was excessive as I was paying out of pocket. I asked for a quote for my procedure that included nitrous gas which I thought would be a better option for my anxiety and the cost. Had I known that a hammer and chisel would be used to extract my tooth off of my jaw while I was awake, I would’ve certainly chosen sedation no matter what the cost. The procedure was traumatic and painful and as a Surgeon who is supposed to make best decisions for the comfort and care of his patients, I felt he did me a disservice. As a result I will choose another oral surgeon to complete my tooth implant and no matter what the cost I will choose sedation for that procedure.
