Horrible experience
Is not interested in answering questions .If you are not interested in helping say it up front and don’t take someone’s time and money.. Rude. Hour and a half wait for a guy in his mid forties to exude attitude and roll his head around. It says it all when doctors who know him say don’t go to him you won’t like him. There are plenty of other doctors. Don’t waste your time with a person who is disrespectful to patients. By the way. do not address people by their first names. As unprofessional as they come. Avoid.

Office communication is horrible.
I had to cancel my second shoulder replacement with Dr Burkhead due to the death of my husband, Dr. Burkhead was retiring, so I had to go with Dr. Moen. I have met with home briefly one time. He was very nice. My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow and I still don’t know what time! I have so many questions about the surgery, but haven’t been able to ask him. I thought I’d see him again before the actually surgery. Getting information has been horrible.Praying that the surgery goes well and that the communication with the office is the only problem I will habe.

Cannot be bothered with challenging diagnosis
I went to Dr Moen for a second opinion because a friend had surgery with him (total shoulder replacement--results pending, better but still pain and limited range one year out). My issues in both shoulders were multiple, partial tears, arthritis and tendinosis. Since he did not see a guaranteed surgical solution he was not personally willing to operate, but also did not have any other insights or advice. It was basically, 'sorry you're in daily/nightly agony, nothing I can do'. Spent maybe 5 minutes, seeming annoyed I wanted to even ask questions to understand why it was so excruciating to lift or move my arms, or to understand why the surgery that had been previously recommended to me would not be advisable. I left with no new information. And the problem with Carrell Clinic is that once you see one doctor, most of the others won't see you even if you are no longer seeing the first doctor, so you cannot look for the right fit. Thus, choose carefully before you see any of them.

Definitely the best
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The wait times are short. The time spent in the examination room is also short. Dr. Moen is direct and to the point regarding the procedure and the recovery time. He allows plenty of time to answer all questions. He has operated on me twice (different issues) and I trust him completely. The anesthesiologist said he was absolutely the best there is for shoulder issues and I whole heartedly agree. This procedure was a shoulder replacement and I have not needed any pain medicine at all. Whatever he did produced no pain. To me that’s amazing for I have had over 25 surgeries in my lifetime.

Amazing Physician
First may I begin with all of the staff, AMAZING! My appointment was at 1:30 and I arrived at about 1:10 sat maybe five minutes and was called back. I needed X-rays did that went back to the room and at precisely 1:30 Dr. Moen walked in. We discussed my issues and we decided that an MRI was needed. So incredibly intelligent. He was a second opinion since I didn’t feel comfortable with the first surgeon. I will let Dr. Moen do any kind of surgery I’m that impressed with him. We discussed next steps and he left. I went to his assistant to get the MRI set up. Went to check out. Done! Went to the elevator looked at my watch it was 1:50!!! I have NEVER had a physician’s office or group that adheres to their appointments like they do. I also drove from Arlington to see him. And will continue to do so.

“I tried the whole patient”
When Dr. Moen stated to me that he treats the whole patient, it was a breath of fresh air. I have had several doctors recently who made me fell like I was a body part instead of a patient. He laid out a plan for me as to how to proceed with my health care for my shoulder and took into consideration first, more urgent issues with my health.’

Awesome doctor
Both my husband and I have seen Dr. Moen as patients. What we like most about him as he’s not quick to operate and he’s very thorough in his examination. Reading some of the other reviews, I need to say that all of our appointments have been on time and he spends as much time as he needs to gain an understanding of what the issues are. He might not spend as much time as our local PA does with us but I’m fine with that. He is a specialist who has many people who need his help.

Super excellent MD
For starters Carrell Clinic runs like a precision machine, from check-in through check-out. Dr. Todd Moen is extremely practiced at his art, a delightful individual, and the only shoulder doc I intend ever to see. Everything about him is to like. Guess they grow 'em up right in Utah. Cheers!

Dr. Moen was great. However, the PT provider, Matthew Hughes was very poor. He spent very little time with me, and would not respond to my numerous attempts to contact him with questions.

An Outstanding Experience
I feel incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Todd Moen as the surgeon who repaired my rotator cuff injury. Dr. Moen is an extremely personable, compassionate and caring individual as well as a highly skilled surgeon who produces excellent results. I am also grateful to be a patient at the Carrell Clinic that has such a wonderful physical therapy staff. My physical therapist, Marina Chacon, is also the best of the best and I feel so lucky to have been assigned to her. I cannot recommend Dr. Moen, his staff and the entire Carrell Clinic group highly enough.

Best shoulder/ Elbow Doctor
Dr. Moen is an incredible doctor! Not only has he fixed my elbow, but also takes the time to throughly go over the diagnosis and treatment options! It’s rare to find a doctor that cares for a patient as a person with outstanding quality of medical care! I highly recommend becoming a patient of Dr. Moen if you are experiencing shoulder or elbow problems! You will not be disappointed!

I absolutely Love Dr Moen, he is not only an Exceptional Dr. At the cutting edge of procedures and techniques in his field he is just a really nice guy, very relaxed and comforting. After 30 yrs of shoulder issues, having had two of the very best Dr's Dallas has to offer help me over the years, knowing procedures have advanced, I would put Dr Moen as the best, most accomplished Dr. I have ever had help me. I will be having a total reverse shoulder replacement later this year and there is no one or no other place I would rather be than the Carrell Clinic under his care
