New Patient
Without exception, every person in that office was smiling, helpful, and friendly. Sadly, that kind of courtesy is rare these days. Needing to see a surgeon is unpleasant enough. Dr. Prochnow and staff made it a very pleasant experience. From the first visit to the follow up appointments after surgery, their friendliness, helpfulness, and efficiency has been consistent. It's just so nice to see smiles in healthcare these days.I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I arrived early, filled out forms clearly noting 2 problems left knee with calf swollen 2 times normal and right wrist. I marked a bunch of the pain types I was having and indicating my very high level of pain especially in the right wrist.I got to see the Doc after 5pm for my 3pm appointment for about 8 to 10 minutes, during which I was told I didn't need any surgery, just a shot of steriods, which he quickly gave then proceded to leave the room. When I asked if he wasn't going to look at because it hurt worse than the leg.He said he couldn't or something and I should make another appointment. At checkout I was told the Doctor wanted to see me in a month. Earliest appointment which I am canceling is 3 weeks. I have since had an xray, it shows I have a chronic scaphoid fracture and need to see a hand surgeon.I'm sure the Doctor is a good technician, but caring, interested in comforting helping me with my extreme pain he's not. I felt like cattle being run through a system.

Focused professional
Understood the reason for initial visit, but noted underlying issue contributed to ailment. Surgical resolution was made ONLY after solid testing matched diagnosis. Original problem resolved as well as chronic issue. Better overall.

This was my first visit with Dr Prochnow and he was extremely personable and knowledgeable and made me feel much better about a knee issue that has been going on for 6 months. Spoke to me about my problem in laymen's terms and drew a picture to show me..have only had a few Drs in my lifetime do this instead of acting like everyone understands medical terms. Very impressed. He is a great addition to Medical Center Clinic.
