Condescending
I heard this doctor telling people I wanted to get high during my visit. He talked down about where I'm from and puts his personal beliefs ahead of doing his job. Turning him in for multiple violations

Dr Hansen is amazing. He listens to his patients and provides the much needed care and treatments. I have been in pain since he left Iowa. Know other like Dr. Hansen. Ready to travel from Iowa to see him and be pain free again.

He did not explain the situation to me. Wouldn't explain what he was doing and why. Didn't give time for questions. In a hurry to get out. Didn't answer questions. No pain management offered. All he wanted to do is give a shot of some kind in the spine.

He is the worst. Thank god he’s gone. He about killed me twice. Honest to god the guy never read a chart because he’s “been doing this for 30years”.. Apparently too long because he needed out of that profession specialty.

Unfortunately he disappeared from Iowa Clinic with no letter to patients and they claim to know nothing further. My review has nothing to do with Dr. Hansen end everything to do with the current status of the Pain Management clinic.

Dr. Hansen helped me with injection therapy for nerve root pain in my lower back. Communication after imaging was zero and apparently he had not read my chart when I saw him in April 2017 because he chided me for not doing my core exercises when I had just had abdominal surgery in late March. He was weird on an interpersonal level but I think he knows what he is doing. I am relieved to have a new, more attentive provider.

Dr. Hansen took care of my mom and dad. He took great care of them. My mom is hart broken that he has left. Dr. Hansen is the type of man that would give you the shirt off his back. We will surely miss him!!!!

I am totally heartsick that Dr. Hansen is not practicing at The Iowa Clinic. I have been going to him for years. He is an extremely kind, caring, and the most knowledgeable Dr. I have ever known. He and his office staff, who are just as nice have all gone out of their way to accommodate me. I loathe the fact Dr. Tom isn’t there anymore. You people who are mad mouthing him are more than likely drug seekers. Dr. Tom is the very best Dr. I know!!!

In the 18+ years I have engaged Dr. Hansen and his team, I have had only positive experiences, I suffer from serious back pain in several points along my spine. Dr H always advocated for the most conservative options first. He also guided me through the difficult & confusing options when surgical specialists needed to be brought in. He speaks in a direct fashion, which not all appreciate as I do. I am very sad to hear he's stopped practicing. Does anyone know why?
