Denied Care at scheduled appt.
She denied care at a scheduled appt. Said that this time was for patients who have colds and flu. She wasn’t interested in my issues and was very cold and uncaring. Do not waste your time.

I have been going to Dr. Hero for a long time and have always had a good experience. She always takes the time to make sure I understand what's going on and has helped me through many issues from when I was a young woman till now. I am surprised at some of the bad reviews because I've never had this and has always been good.

Save you sanity, find someone else.
Came in with intense anxiety- immediately DOUBLED my dose of Zoloft from 100mg to 200mg. I went from anxious to depressed and no hope for improvement. Tried calling her office for help and was treated like I was overreacting- absolutely terrible doctor.

Visited Dr Hero for a common condition and a standard Rx refill. She suggested a change to a new medicine. I had severe side effects. Over a week, I played phone tag with the med asst with questions (should I keep taking, stop, could i get my old Rx?). No answers. Finally talked to med asst and she said stop taking med and try yet another new Rx. When I had more questions...why this one? what side effects to expect? why not original?...she couldn't answer & did not offer to check with Dr Hero. I tried to email but had to go through the office to get a portal login (many issues getting this set up) and ANOTHER week went by. After finally being able to send a message, Dr Hero's response was a complete disregard of all of my questions with an insistence that I just needed to trust her and take the new Rx. She wrote I was just "overstressing" and should be patient. If concern about unanswered health questions = "overstressing", the best answer for me was to find a new doctor.

One way doctor to patient; did not get a complete understanding of concerns and issues; did not offer reason for choice in prescription; was not available for follow up questions; did not address general lifestyle issues

I’ve always found her to be concerned and thoughtful. I esp appreciated that she intentionally warmed her hands before touching me

I’ve been seeing Dr. Toni Hero for many years. She immediately diagnosed a condition that no one else had caught. She always listens, answers any questions and explains her plan of care thoroughly. I would highly recommend her.

She has very little bedside manner. Asked to be referred to a mental health specialist and she said that "everyone is mentally ill", asked me five questions, diagnosed me with anxiety/depression, prescribed me some generic medication and refused to give me an emotional support animal recommendation. This was the first time I had seen her and she knew nothing about me. She also told me the joint pain I was experiencing was because I am heavier and did no other examination.
