Dr. Traci Burgess, MD

Dr. Burgess has awful bedside manner, is never in the know of a patients pregnancy history before a visit, is never on topic or clear with the way she answers important questions, and she is often distracted with personal conversations with other staff members during appointments infront of the patient. She shouldn’t be in the career she holds.

Dr. Burgess was recommended by my midwife after discovering that I was experiencing a high-risk pregnancy (due to my T1 diabetes). From day one until the moment she delivered my daughter via emergency c-section, Dr. Burgess set a bar in medical care that I have yet to experience from another practitioner since. She is the most responsive, caring, relatable, kind, insightful, funny and trustworthy medical provider I have ever met!

I worked with Dr. Burgess towards the end of my first pregnancy at the beginning of COVID and I am seeing her again now with my 2nd pregnancy. She has been so wonderful and informative and every interaction with her makes me feel included in my care decisions and like I'm an actual person, not just a statistic. The term "high-risk" can come with so much fear & uncertainty, and I'm enjoying Dr. Burgess's down to earth personality and the fact that any additional testing and concerns can be discussed straightforwardly and decided upon together instead of forced upon me with no explanation. She may not be the right doctor for someone who is more anxious or wanting to be monitored to the extreme, but she's perfect for someone looking for some flexibility and latitude with their care plan.

She doesn’t even deserve one star. No bedside manner!

Dr. Burgess ignored life threatening complains I presented her with during my pregnancy. She dismissed everything I said and told me it was normal. As a result me and my child nearly died. I am still suffering the effects of her negligence years later.

Dr. Burgess was the worst experience I had ever had in my first trimester. She was very unpleasant, and has no bed side manners what so ever. She needs to seek another career since dealing with pregnant women is clearly not her forte. I advise you to reschedule with another Dr. if she is the only one available. Thankfully, my baby is doing wonderfully.
