Dr. Travis Steinke, MD

Absolutely horrible! I had a baby back in April he came in and was fidgeting around acting like he had no clue what he was doing. Once he put the needle in I immediately knew something was wrong , as I could feel the needle moving around my spine. He gave me a test dose of medicine that ended up making me pass out. Once I came to, he ripped it out my back and then proceeded to try again and stuck me in the wrong spot AGAIN! He then tried AGAIN for a 3rd time, it didn't hurt as bad but was still very uncomfortable. I didn't say anything due to how nervous and scared I was. Needless to say even after him sticking me the third time, the epidural never worked. I never went numb and I felt my entire labor and delivery and now I'm having to get a spinal blood patch because he stuck my spinal fluid sack.

Dr Steinke was my anesthesiologist on a major ankle surgery in Dec 2019. When he came in the room to introduce himself before the surgery, he misunderstood my "hello" and thought I said "i Know". He continued to ask me what else I "knew". Did I know everything else he was going to say? He said that if I knew everything, he might as well leave. I could not believe it, he was so rude. I told him that he misunderstood what I said, but he just left the room. After the surgery, he was supposed to put a block behind my knee that would numb my leg and ankle for up to 24 hours and get me through the worst part of my pain. My daughter is a surgical nurse, she said that their surgeons do this while the patients are still asleep because it is painful. He came in the recovery room after I was fully awake and made me hang my leg off the bed right after surgery. He dug around behind my knee with that needle, knowing that the block did not work at all. He left me to go home in horrible pain.
