Dr. Mascola has been my GP for well over 10 years. I have never felt rushed through our annual check-ups or ad hoc visits, and always find him to be attentive and ready to explain WHY he is recommending a particular procedure or medication.

Dr Mascola not only listens - but he explains everything where “I” understand. And most importantly - you are not rushed out of his office. Besides Dr Mascola - his nurse, Jennifer is just as caring. They make a fantastic health care team.

Today I need talk about the Dr Trent Mascola. They are amazing . I called to set up my first visit with him and I spoke with 2 wonderful person . This is a very warm welcome.

I was a patient of Dr Mascola. I have my well visits done up north. I needed a mammogram referral, because of the pandemic I could not get this done up north due to a back log. It took 3 phones calls in a 2 1/2 week timeframe to hear that I could not get a referral unless I went in for an office visit. If I was told this upfront that would not be a problem. I decided to try another Dr!

I had my annual Wellness Exam, and everything was perfect. I am extremely happy with Dr. Mascola.

I was warmly welcomed and comfortable. He read my history, asked questions and answered my questions. He allowed plenty of time for the visit. Looking forward to my annual exam.

Always an easy visit with Dr. Mascola and his RN Jennifer.

I was just diagnosed with Mitral Valve Regurgitation by another doctor in this group. I had all the symptoms but Mascola missed it, then he dismissed me. I was reestablished as a new patient. My insurance company came to my rescue so that I could finally have the heart test that another doctor suggested. I'm 67 and didn't need all this stress.

No--if I listened to him I would be dead. Changed prescription from my neurologist. Also, never sent authorization to my u rologist who needed it for my insurance. Sits on his computer all the time. Too much more bad I could say.

I have used Dr Mascola for several years. I have read other reviews about him typing notes in his computer but that’s what doctors do. They want an accurate history of their patients. He has always listened to my concerns and prescribed meds or tests if I needed them. I have never found him to be dismissive.

Went to Dr. Mascola 9 months ago about shoulder pain. He spent more time sitting at the exam table typing on his computer than checking my shoulder. Sent for X-rays and then sent email stating nothing torn. In the meantime, nothing for the pain either. Then went for my physical which was a joke as more time behind the computer and only listened to my heart. but, told him of a pain in my hip. He said to give it time and he would order an x-ray if it still hurt. The pain got severe so went to another Doctor at an Urgent Care. I told him the symptoms and he examined my hip and told me exactly what was wrong. Prescribed some medication and was feeling great in less than 2 weeks. Why didn't Doctor Mascola take the time to figure that out when I was there? Because he is more interested in typing history than dealing with the present. I cancelled my two remaining appoints and done with him and Gulf Coast Medical. Interesting once I informed GCM of that he sent me a letter dropping me. Ego?

Dr. Mascola may be "robotic" however, if you want someone who gets right to the point...no fluff...you would appreciate that. One of the things I appreciate is his timeliness. Every Dr. has about 15 minutes to spend with a patient, so those that coddle patients are ALWAYS late. I'd say, if you're in decent health and just need to get in and out, he's your man. Otherwise, see a specialist.

Dr. Mascola isn't the Dr for everyone. We moved to Sarasota and found him in our network. He is very dismissive. He didnt want to hear what we had to say about my husband's medical problems. He was more worried about his notes. I found him to be very unprofessional and rude. He even had the nerve to drop ny husband as a patient. We have found another Dr. Please If your looking for a compassionate Dr who will listen and who care He Is Not That Dr.

Payed more attention to dictating into his tablet than to my health concerns, and kept interrupting me when I would talk. Unconcerned, uncaring, and very unprofessional. He lied about my information when he was dictating to protect himself. After 2 yrs he finally ordered labs and then forgot to give me the results.

I found Dr. Mascola to be a very caring, competent professional. My husband and I both like him and benefit from him being our doctor. Thank you. TRISH OSORIO

Dr. Mascola has no interest in his patient's health. Several of the reviews explained his shortcomings to A T. I have no confidence in him. The only reason I am still seeing him is that I can't find a doctor recommendation. All the good doctor's are not taking new patients. I don't know how he gets away with the way he treats his patients.

Dr. Mascola usually just dictates into his little machine during my office visits. The exam table is set up like a desk with his laptop on the rollout tissue & his recorder in hand. He'll tell me, "Hold on a sec...patient is [etc]" DURING our visit? I can hear EVERY word he dictates. I feel like he's using my time so he doesn't have to do it at the end of the day. He seems wholly uninterested. He's actually fallen asleep on more than one occasion. My Husband, Daughter and I will go elsewhere.
