I've been a patient of Dr Phan numerous times. He also took care of my mom quite often until she passed recently. This doctor was so good to my mom. He's been so good to me. And if there are misunderstandings which often happens between nurses and doctors and patients, he takes the time to clear them up. I was recently again admitted for 6 days and I was relieved he was my hospitalist. He has a lot of empathy and patience with his patients. He really cares. He also believes you when you tell him something. Like I had a severe reaction to compazine. I became severely panicked and full of anxiety. I wanted to rip out my IV and run out of the hospital. But I knew that would do me no good. And I didn't want to act crazy as much as I felt like I was. He believed me when I told him I had the reaction and gave me medication to calm my nerves. Most doctors just act like they've never seen reaction to meds in all their career as a doctor. He's truly the best and cares a lot.
