I have been a patient of Dr. Dickinson for over 25 years. He has also taken care of my family during this time. I have referred friends many times as I trust him. He is diligent, professional, and makes you feel like family. His office staff is just as nice and very helpful. I give him a FIVE+ STARS rating.

Wouldn’t refer my worst enemy!
During the mid 2020’s I had an appointment with Dr. Dickinson. Masking mandates were in place. The Doctor entered the exam room NOT wearing a mask. When you asked him to put one on, he said “no way, I’m not gonna mess up my beard. I have had it for 25 years.” He didn’t put on a mask. Very condescending!!!

Summitt? The bottom really
Apparently they hire Nursing Assistants from the Wilfred Academy: Great if your having your hair done or a makeover, but not so good at doing healthcare stuff. Pitiful practice.

I was a patient with Dr. Dickinson for a few years, that is until he shrugged off the fact and told me (in his condescending, eye roll way) that I did not have the flu and 5 seconds later the girl came in with my results (yes, he told me before the results were final) that "yes she does". His reaction you ask? He shrugged again and acted like it was no big deal. I had fainted in the office and he only gave my husband about 10 minutes to get there (from Smithtown) or else he was sending me to the ER! Can you imagine! I told them I didn't want to get stuck with an unnecessary ER bill but he said "nope". If he isn't here in another few minutes we are sending you. Fortunately my husband made it and took me home. Do yourself a favor and pass over this office.

Save yourself the dismissive and patronizing experience and see someone else. I felt like I was in a bad movie- between the eye rolls, the laughter and the shrugs- I felt the complete opposite of "taken care of". I stormed out for the first time ever. Still baffled- and still have pneumonia.

I have been a patient of Dr. Dickinsons for about a year. In the last 4 years I have been to see my PCP 5 times, 3 of those times have been with Dr. Dickinson. My first visit with Dr. Dickinson was required for me to join the practice and went great. The 2 times I went in with actual concerns Dr. Dickinson was very dismissive, spoke down to me, and was extremely arrogant including rolling his eyes TWICE while I was talking. Needless to say I am looking for a new doctor.
