Had 2 visits - won’t return.
I went to Dr. T because my rheumatologist retired after treating me for 15 years for an autoimmune disease. He never made me feel insignificant like Dr. T did. He flatly refused to treat me for fibromyalgia and said my GP would treat that. His bedside manner was so bad, my gentle easygoing husband wanted to hit him. I have spoken to friends of mine that also saw him, and they had a similar experience. So be forewarned. I hate to speak ill of anyone but Dr. T should take therapy or lessons on how to treat a person as he’d want to be treated.

This dr is condescending and doesn’t take into consideration that his patients might have a pretty good understanding of their own disease. A number of us have lived with disease for a long while making it only common sense that we might understand it well. He doesn’t think outside of the box and is very rigid. He is not interested in working collaboratively with the patients. He is the authority and if you question anything he says he gets upset. I could go on but am not going to bother. I will not be returning. If you think you and your provider should work together I would go elsewhere. Or if your condition is not straight up what you would see in a textbook, look elsewhere as you will be disappointed. He is however, always on time and calls you on the phone with your lab results. These are wonderful traits to have.

No, I do not recommend. He doesn't listen. I was referred by dermatologists in CA to go to a rheumatologist which I did, in CA. The Dr there provided a treatment , Taltz, which took care of the problem. It recently recurred so I made an appt here in Louisville. I'd already tried Otezla (was awful) This Dr didn't offer the treatment. I'd called a few weeks ahead to make sure this treatment was an option and they said Yes, otherwise I'd not have gone.

He's just an awesome dr. He keeps it very professional, but straight to the head of the problem. I was told back in 2012 that there was nothing wrong with me, I knew I was hurting more than I should be, so me not wanting to drive very far tried a rheumy in Bowling Green, Ky I was told that there was NOTHING WRONG, with me. I just kept on working everyday till I found out I was pregnant.... Diagnosed with Takayasu's Arteritis. A very rare autoimmune disease that I was diagnosed with while 16 weeks pregnant, after giving birth to a healthy baby boy, the disease took over with my hormones causing my BP to stay stroke level to the point when my baby was 3 wks old I started stroking!!! I left from home in the back of an ambulance Aug 21, 2015 never to be the same again. I had my diagnosis beforehand & knew this may happen & sure enough it did. Dr. Troy has been my rheumy through it all then he got me started on chemo, which was the original plan from the start but ya can't take chemo prego.

What a wonderful person and an excellent doctor. He listens and repeats back to you what he is hearing you say so he is sure you are getting the right treatment. You are never rushed and the phones in his office are always answered by a person...not a machine. He calls you with blood work results and always encourages you to call his office should you need anything. Excellent staff also.

Dr. Takagishi is personally involved in every aspect of patient care. He even calls with lab results and prescription information himself. He takes time and is never rushed. Very thorough and someone you can trust. I have A.S. and he has it completely under control and even filed two medical necessity appeals with my insurance company to make sure I got the medication that would WORK.
