Gave NO TREATMENT in ER as I Drowned in my Phlegm
I had a deadly bronco-pneumonia as confirmed AFTER my ER visit with Dr. Pickell from which he sent me out UN-treated. FAILED TO TREAT a deadly lower respiratory tract infection. This was in the ER where I had been referred by the Prompt Care Clinic who also said 'bronchitis or pneumonia' IN THEIR REFERRAL. I was literally DROWNING in my own FLUIDS as my O2 sats plummeted and 'Doctor Pickell' (actually an Osteopath - lower avg MCATs; look it up) IGNORED ME then discharged me to collapse in the parking lot. My life was saved later that day when an ACTUAL DOCTOR prescribed a strong antibiotic and a powerful steroid so I could breathe. It was a severe lower respiratory infection that the distant Tyler William Pickell had simply ignored in whatever oblivion he was inhabiting. AVOID Dr. Tyler Pickell and refuse 'treatment' if he comes near you in a clinic or E.R. If he is as tuned-out and uninterested in your case as he was with mine, he may endanger your life too. Better to SAFELY AVOID.

Rude and unhelpful
Waited an hour to see him only to have him mock my emergency visit as unnecessary as he implied it was beneath his work. After 3 minutes he wanted to send me home and when I pressed for tests, he didn’t want to give me any time to make a decision. He literally told me “I can’t wait, you’re not dying but my other patient is.” I am 6 months pregnant and experiencing unusual head pain.

Did not listen to a single word
Felt ignored. Not a good listener. I don't trust his judgment. Didn't explain anything. Just awful.

Rushed
I felt rushed, so I had to spit out as fast I could in 2 seconds. He said he write for some sinus medication and go to the pharmacy and it wasn’t ordered. Thank god the antibiotic was. If this was a true emergency I wouldn’t go there. Wait time was fine, but crazy how it was so fast I couldn’t think. I accidentally went there instead of urgent care and for I will not come here for a real emergency. There is no way I would. I wanted an antibiotic bc I knew something wasn’t right. I wish they had done some tests but it is, what it is. I don’t expect good care in Fl. Why I don’t go to a dr a hospital ever. I just think people have abused the medical system they just don’t care anymore. I get seen once every 10 yrs if that. I just don’t care anymore.

How do I leave NO stars?
Need to leave ZERO STARS for Tyler Pickell, with whom I had the worst experience of my life.

felt un-heard, unhappy with lack of treatment
I didn't feel my concerns were heard by this doctor. There was no listening to me, and no answers to my questions. No explanation was given for what ended up being no treatment. I had to go elsewhere to be listened to and treated. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I felt ignored and wrongly treated
Would not listen to how I had been feeling, just brushed aside everything I said and barely looked at me before deciding there was nothing wrong with me. He kept saying odd things as if his mind was elsewhere. He said he was just out of residency and new, but then why didn't he get help? I felt really awful to be left untreated and I felt ignored. I just do not believe Dr. Tyler Pickell acted as a professional with me.

When I get ER treatment, I feel that a doctor should at a minimum listen to what symptoms I have been experiencing, especially over the course of worsening disease. I didn't experience that with Dr. Tyler Pickell. I got the opposite. And what little treatment I got was for symptoms I wasn't experiencing. But I didn't find that out until later, because Dr. Pickell did not answer questions or explain anything, despite my questions. Instead, he evaded the questions, and sent me home essentially without treatment. I certainly hope I never again experience such a lack of listening, understanding, communication, and lack of useful treatment as I experienced from Dr. Tyler Pickell.

Poor listener. Doesn't interact or answer question
Wouldn't listen to anything I said about my condition. Didn't ask questions, and wouldn't answer mine. In the end he gave no treatment while I kept suffering and got worse. Wish there was a way to give zero stars.

If you prefer to be IGNORED, this is your doctor
Tyler Pickell is a very poor listener. I felt ignored. My questions went unanswered. Just a bad experience. I hope Dr. Tyler Pickell is not always like this. Really the worst I've seen in many years.

Didn't even try to appear as if he was listening
Prescribed medicine totally unrelated to my condition because he refused to listen to my description of the symptoms and asked similarly totally-unrelated questions. Some doctors are good listeners - Tyler Pickell is not one of them. Nothing worse than being ignored when you're really sick. Dr. Pickell doesn't appear to want to interact with patients, so why choose a team profession such as medicine? My advice: choose a DIFFERENT doctor.

Horrifying lack of treatment - left WORSE than I arrived by EVERY METRIC, from lower sAO2 sats to higher dysponea (more labored breathing). IGNORES PATIENT HISTORY - enters room with pre-conceived notion and keeps asking questions that CONTRADICT PATIENT HISTORY you've just given in detail. He has his own theory about you and anything that contradicts it, he simply fabricates. Kept asking: "it's a dry cough, right? dry cough? dry cough?" which it wasn't, to fit his theory. Later misrepresented this in notes, along with wrong length of onset, and IGNORING very detailed patient history re prior treatments. Does NO actual exam. Withholds results while you're there and HIDES FROM PATIENT his actual treatment plan which was, in reality, to toss me out of the ER after my O2 sats had CRASHED, which he accused me of manipulating (that'd be an impossible trick.) Worst provider in 60 years. AVOID TYLER W.PICKELL, OSTEOPATH. DO NOT CONSENT to "treatment" by TYLER PICKELL D.O. Avoid!
