I’ve been going to Dr. Okoro for years now. Before, I was just mildly annoyed that she was rude/blunt, that she didn’t really help you when you asked her questions, and that she’d insinuate you’re an addict if you take anything that can be habit forming (even if she prescribed it to begin with!) Anyway, now I’m officially ticked off with her. I got a new insurance plan, and she will not send in any prior authorizations to them to have my medications filled/covered. And my pharmacy won’t fill them unless they’re covered, so I can’t even pay out of pocket. I’m out of my antidepressants and anti anxiety pills, and she isn’t helping me at all. I’m debating reporting her to the health department or whatever. I sent these refill requests like a week or 2 in advance, and nothing. She’s giving me the runaround because she refuses to call my insurance. I’m definitely finding a new doctor.

My husband and I relocated from Illinois to Indiana. I am connected with the Franciscan group for specialists and now we have selected primary care doctors in the group also. My husband went to Winfield location first office visit with this MD. He had a full face shield on covering forehead nose mouth chin and sides of face. He was denied service because he had no mask on under the shield. Really, shameful. What are people who are unable to wear masks to do. Many in this situation are still able to comply with face protection with the use of face shield. His doctor in Illinois accepted him into the office without any hesitance. This needs to be addressed by the Franciscan Medical Group.

Her bedside manner is terrible. She seems overwhelmed if you ask questions. And she spends most of the time on her laptop.

At first I loved this Dr. But then things went way wrong after giving the wrong information about my blood test results. They called and told me that everything came back in normal, but I asked the Dr. In person if it was ok and she said I was vitamin d deficient. After being put on medication for 6 months half the time when I call or bring up the vitamin d they say I dont have anything related in my chart. They have no idea what's going on in that office.

I feel she is very unthorough. She doesn't follow up to see if medications that she has prescribed were effective. I complained to her about a medical ailment and two years later, it still wasn't addressed. If you need a referral, she will have the personnel type up a referral for you, but then you have to find a specialist yourself.

Not very helpful and does not come off as being genuinely concerned for patient. Does not take the time to dig, only takes symptoms lightly with no higher concern. Does not make a connection between patient and herself, is more concerned with filling out computer paperwork. She does the bare minimum.

I've been a patient of hers for several years, it wasn't until this past week that it became clear I need to look elsewhere for my medical needs. I have been experiencing shoulder pain for many months. While I talked to her she never once looked at my shoulder or touched it. The whole time she typed on her laptop and asked a couple of question. I was not looking for meds I was seeking a doctors care, which I do not feel I received.
