Saw Dr Patel for the first time today in Hudson office. I thought he was delightful. He was prompt, very professional, very knowledgeable and very thorough. I worked for a lot of doctors for 25 plus years. I was very impressed with him. He is kind, caring, concerned and compassionate. He’s very knowledgeable and makes you feel comfortable and has your health and well-being very much a priority. I highly recommend him. I’m a very good judge of character and competence and professionals that care and take their jobs and oaths seriously. Very happy with the office and this physician. Connie O’Connor

Dismissive, condescending, obnoxious
I have had so many healthy problems my whole life. I have many diagnoses but not one that explains everything. I have a ton of autoimmune in my family so I went to a rheumatologist. He had a male student with him. The first thing he said was, 'I see you are on a number of medicine for anxiety and depression.'So???I started tearing up when describing my unexplained chronic pain. I've had 6 ortho surgeries in the last 7 years and no one knows why my joints are so bad at age 46. Both men stared at me with blank faces. Then the dr said, 'Is there a reason that you're crying?'Uhhh. He told me there is nothing wrong with my joints and I just need to walk more. I've been mostly immobile for months due to back surgery. At the end of the appt, he said, 'Normally I would tell you to lose weight but you aren't overweight. Hahaha.'He decided I was a hysterical women w/ psychosomatic issues as soon as he saw my chart. If he can't find an easy answer, he writes you off.

Uninformed and Unprofessional
I’ve been seeing Rheumatologists for 20 years and this man was the least impressive medical “professional” I’ve seen in my life.

I was not happy with the care I was receiving from dr Patel. I went there to see him for Lupus as a primary illness. I seen the dr 3 x and the 3rd x was horrendous I was having a really bad flare up which was so painful I walked in his office in tears. I went in the room and he was very cold and asked me why I was crying. I explained to the dr about the pain I was in and he looked at my bloodwork from the 1st visit which was 6 months prior and he tells me your Lupus isn’t that bad and then asked if I was ever tested for Lyme and I advised that he tested me during the 1st visit and he asked how many animals I had and when I told him. His response was very cold hearted and stated to me you can’t take care of yourself how can you take care of your animals. That was very unprofessional and very unnecessary. What bearing does that have for the Professional care that I was asking for and to have a dr listen to my concerns. I changed to another dr and had other autoimmune issues that arise.

Every time I see Dr. Parel he is very genuine and kind. Most important he knows what he is doing. He asks questions he explains things and does not let you leave with out asking if there are anything other questions he did not answer or explain. He does not rush you and I love that. He has a wonderful bedside manner. He is very personable. I like a doctor that is not socially awkward or uncomfortable to have a conversation with a patient which he is the opposite of these two things!
