Very disappointed with Uri Soiberman MD
After waiting months for my appointment Soiberman rushed through my appointment and was dismissive of my concerns. While apologizing for having me wait for almost 2 hours before my actual appointment time he said sorry you had to wait I usually see more complex and serious conditions at this location. The waiting wasn’t the problem since emergencies can come up but to dismiss my eye condition- Keratonconus like it was nothing was insulting and rude. Maybe my problem wasn’t as bad as some other patients but it has been very disruptive to my life. I deserved compassion. It was so obvious as he rushed through the appointment, didn’t ask me any questions and he made assumptions. He definitely was not worth the 8 months that I had to wait to see him.

A caring and decent human being.
I saw him last week for a severe corneal infection. Though he was very very busy that his evaluation of my condition was unwavering. Full of kindness and knowledge. This week I had a follow up and he spent nearly an hour, consulting his peers downtown to determine the best option for me. There were tons of patients waiting to see him but didn’t cut any corner. I am ever grateful for his care for me. Deep gratitude.

SUPERB CATARACT SURGEON
Dr. Y. Soiberman was the #1 choice to do my 79 yr old husband's cataract surgeries in both eyes. After the first surgery within 12 hrs he had 20/20 vision; after 2nd surgery he had 20/30!!! Really miraculous. He has Top class surgical skills. His relaxed personal interactions with us were highly informative, & friendly. He was wonderfully straightforward with explanations & answers to our MANY questions. He comes HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for Ophthalmology issues. Listen to his YouTube videos & read his extensive research list. I did. That's how we chose this brilliant doctor!

You cannot choose a better doctor than Dr. Soiberman. Not only he is a highly skilled professional and amazing surgeon, but he is also a wonderful human being who treats his patients as fellow human beings, not just conditions they represent.

I had my second cataract done by him and everything when well. My first surgery was done by Dr. Esen Akpek. She is the worse surgeon ever. No matter how dry your eyes are. Go to Dr. SOIBERMAN. DR AKPEK should not even be allowed to be a surgeon. Go to Dr. Soiberman!

I recently was a patient of Dr. Soiberman to have cataracts removed from both eyes. I found him very intelligent and knowledgeable. All of my questions were answered without feeling like I was being rushed. Both surgeries went well. I was awake most of the time if not the entire time and was completely relaxed. Post-op the instructions were very clear as to the number of times the drops must be taken. During my subsequent visits he checked the results of the surgery thoroughly. I feel like I have bionic eyes. I can hardly believe how clear I can see.

Dr. Soiberman is what a doctor should be, and better yet, when combined with other members of the "rockstar"Wilmer Team (specifically Dr. Wenick) I felt I received world class treatment. My particular issues started with a retinal detachment and an ensuing cataract. Their combined efforts have not only fixed the recent issues, but l now have unaided 20/20 vision for first time in over 50 years. I'm am profoundly grateful to both of them.

I had the best experience possible with cataract surgery by Dr. Soiberman. He is kind, has a gentle manner and is a very competent opthalmic surgeon. He not only explains his part well, but also listens to and addresses the concerns of the patient. All of the staff ,both at the surgical site and in the office were friendly and kind with a good sense of humor which put me at ease. I recommend Dr. Soiberman to all who need opthalmic surgery.

Dr Soiberman performed surgery on my son in 2017 and replaced both cataracts on myself in 2019. The results of all three surgeries exceeded our expectations. He is an extremely competent surgeon with a fantastic personality. When I saw him today, he went over all our results and explained the implications in detail. At the end he answered all of my questions and then inquired about my son and how he was doing in college. He genuinely cares about his patients and makes you feel comfortable in stressful situations. I have already highly recommend him to my friends and family.

Doctor Soiberman saved my wife's eyesight. Stevens-Johnson is an insidious autoimmune disease that attacks the eyes and the moist mucous membranes. I would not wish it on my worst enemy. I would also like to praise his team were day in and day out an incredible during her hospitalization.

It is truly a wonderful thing when you receive treatment from an expert doctor who also has a great bed side manor. Doctor Soiberman stepped in when another physician was called out of town unexpectedly. He was reassuring, very patient, and very professional. He immediately set me at ease. He was always available for incidental questions. Simply stated he was great and most importantly the result was great.
