Dr. Urvashi Sura, MD

Had a horrible experience with the OBGYN when having my first child. When I got pregnant again Dr Sura was recommended so I went to see her. Dr Sura was amazing, took the time to listen to all my fears, and promised me she would take good care of me. She kept that promise. At 34 weeks I went preeclamptic. Dr Sura caught the symptoms and sent me to the hospital and thankfully she did. I was in the hospital for 10 days and she saw me every day before and after delivery. I had a c-section and she did a beautiful job! She talked to me throughout the surgery, kept checking on me, kept me calm, and my incision is beautiful. If had I had another doctor I would not have had such a good experience and this story may not have had a happy ending for me and my baby.

Doctor Sura is often out of the office unable to assist patients with their medical needs. Does not return pages during off- hours and does not have a covering provider in her absence. Office staff does not leave voicemails, nor communicates information and yells at patients. Although I believe she is well educated, this provider grossly under practiced specially for a high risk obgyn. Reported to medical board.

My concerns and questions were quickly and briefly answered. She did not go into any detail about the questions and concerns that I had. I left her office feeling frustrated and not heard. I am currently looking for another ob gyn and will not be returning to this office.

She was kind on a routine visit, but later gave me a misdiagnosis and harmed me physically, mentally, and emotionally during a follow up procedure. When I left in tears without the procedure being done, her response was if you don't do this, you are going to get cancer. Maybe not now, but you will. I'm only sharing this because I don't want her doing it to any other patient. It was awful beside manner, no regard for the patient, and I really hope it doesn't happen to anyone else.
