Dr. Valerie Deardorff, MD

Dr. Deardorff was able to get me in as a new patient very quickly. She was professional, courteous, and respectful. I highly recommend her to anyone without hesitation. She is very knowledgeable as a surgeon.

Hi everything went very well. Everyone was friendly from the front desk to the nurses. Only issue I had is I called on two different occasions and did not get a call back. Two stitches got infected, but I took care of it.

Dr Deardorff did surgery on my trigger finger that was locked. My finger is fixed and wonderful now.

She was great! Explained everything and the staff was also wonderful. I would recommend her to anyone!

Received a cortisone injection in my right wrist that helped alleviate chronic pain.

Dr. Deardorff is hopefully a skilled surgeon but her communications system is terrible. Ten days after my wrist surgery I was scolded by the PA that I should have been moving my fingers often but I did not know that because it was so obscure in the paperwork. I already had stiff fingers then and after 4 months, the problem remains. Later I was yelled at by a nurse, told in 2 appointments with the PA that my fingers would be fine, no changes needed. Then in the 4th dr. appointment, I was told the OPPOSITE by Dr. Deardorff & that I should push my fingers to PAIN. After doing that for only 2.5 days, I had a severe relapse and now have injured, painful knuckles for the first time in my life ! I've informed KCOA of these experiences in a constructive manner & hope they will correct them.Communications from 1st to last: Obscure, scolding, abusive (the nurse), and contradictory (the PA vs. the surgeon). Surgery skill matters -- and so does communication !

Dr. Deardorff was excellent in discussing my issues, reviewing X-rays with me.

I was referred to Dr. Dierdorff for a big lump on my left wrist that had a Silastic implant which was way past its life expectancy. She rushed my first appointment. Threw down the x-rays, told me that I needed surgery, and was out the door while I was still asking questions. I told her that I was an infection risk due to lymphedema and that she should consider giving me antibiotics post surgery, but she said the one shot deal in the IV would suffice. I immediately got a Staph infection from. the surgery and had to be treated for that. The stitches popped, the incision gaped, and now I have a terrible scar for life. I wouldn't recommend her although the surgery otherwise went well. Any doctor that doesn't listen or care about the knowledge a patient has about their own health history isn't worth the money they charge. I am 67 years old and know my body quite well. I obviously know it better than she does. I wouldn't trust her again.

What three orher hand drs could not do Dr Deardorff did in one visit. The manners are superior. Her knowledge and caring are too notch. I had severe issues in my right hand and dr deardorff wiped away with confidence. Visit with confidence. She is the best!!!!!

Detailed explanation of surgery while patiently answering any questions. Quickly put me and ease. Treated me with respect and compassion.

Other than I felt Dr. Deardorff was very rushed she did a decent job explaining my condition and requirements for relief. It just seemed slightly impersonalized. When the time is necessary I will probably utilize her experience.

Dr Dierdorff , her surgical team and facility were stellar in their performance. The surgery couldn't have gone better??. Highly recommended!

Dr. Deardorff fixed my trigger finger with one visit to her office. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone that’s experiencing any kind of problems with their hands. She also told my husband and I what we need to do to adjust our hands so that they did not fall asleep. We bought the product that she recommended and it works. No more falling asleep for our hands!

I’ve seen her for all of my hand/wrist issues for several years. She’s patient, she listens and is very empathetic. Her MA’s are amazing (Esme & Andre) and the front desk ladies are always super friendly and welcoming.

I personally do not recommend this Dr. Took me 5 weeks to get in to see her. She was running nearly an hour behind at the beginning of the day. I had a 30 min appt scheduled, I was not given 30 minutes, and left still having questions. My condition is not a very common problem, I felt like she was just looking for another Carpal Tunnel or other easy case to solve with surgery. Took nearly 3 weeks for her to respond to a question I posed on the Dr. Portal. Then she was much to liberal with her suggestion. I will not be seeking further treatment from this Dr.
