Went for my annual physical. The previous year I had some pretty serious concerns - I'm 65 and warning lights are starting to come on. This year none of these concerns were brought up, and no new ones were discussed. It's as if she never saw me before, and I have been a patient for 15 years. I had the impression that I was just one more appointment in her day.Her examination was cursory at best - an EMT may have done a more thorough exam. I left after 5 minutes knowing nothing more than I had when I sat down. I presented with an issue that may be rheumatological - which killed my mother in 2012 - and there was no discussion, and no referral. She is personable and I'm sure she's qualified, but at my age I need more - like what's wrong with me that could become life threatening? I know I'm not healthy enough at 65 to be given a quick in and out.Add to that the fact that you can not get an appointment with her typically within 9 months and you see why I'm shopping for a new GP.

It only took me a year to get an appointment to establish her as my primary care. When I finally got to see her for an appointment, it was during covid. I had my full does of vaccine. But of course, the entire office and I took all the precautions. I had a necklace on stating I was hearing impaired. I also communicated it verbally. When I didn't understand her questions because I could not hear she got very irritated. Then I got a little closer and she backed away and said I was scaring her. She walked out and in my record noted I was very anxious. I have been in the past but, have learned to control it. Obviously, she does not know how to diagnose it.
