I hate Dr.Tutson
Telehealth
She was rude, and she told me that I was not going to do good in college. She said she has 30 years of experience but is not very good at all. She told me I was functioning at 13 years old, but I am 19 years old. She makes mental health wrost.

What a psychiatrist should be!
Telehealth
Dr Tutson is one of the most wonderful and caring doctors I have ever met. She is a fabulous listener that shares many stories and experiences. She is so kind and relatable. If you are jot authentic she will see right through it like lightening. But, if you are honest and need support she will be your champion and help you find your way through you. She is not magic but her spirit and the way she cares for her patients is magical. Love her heart

Rushed and stressful
Telehealth
I was unhappy after every appointment as I felt interrupted and rushed to give a list of symptoms and be prescribed the appropriate drugs. After described an isolated episode she diagnosed me with a much more extreme diagnosis than I felt proper and I felt that I couldn't fully explain my emotions without her dismissing them or interrupting me. In general, she did ask if I had questions but the appointments were so overwhelming that I would say know then leave having no idea what meds or dosages I was supposed to have. When I called the office to confirm, it would take days of calling many times a day to get any reply.

HORRIBLE experience. I went in because I recently moved to Houston and I need a psychiatrist to prescribe me the meds I’ve been taking for the past six years. I only had one appointment with Dr. Tutson, which was horrendous. She asked oddly invasive questions that she had no need to ask, and when I was having trouble describing certain painful things that have happened to me, she was quite rude and told me I needed to open up to her more. I get that during an intake psychiatrists will sometimes ask you about a broad range of topics that are unrelated to the reason you’re there. This was something entirely different. In between asking bizarre, invasive questions, she kept cutting me off to go on weird rants that were entirely irrelevant to what we were talking about. I should have left in the middle of our appointment when it became clear she lacks any sensitivity or care. I’m genuinely shocked she still has patients, because I’ve never left a doctor's office feeling so degraded.

Wants Money, Not to Serve
Telehealth
Terrible. Office staff doesn't send links to the Zoom sessions and then blames the patient for not being on time when the link was missing and charges a missed appointment fee. Rushed, careless, spends 10 minutes with you, doesn't remember follow ups and has to be prodded to refill meds.Just yuck.

How did she even become certified?
The psychiatrist was RUDE as soon as I walked in, talked TOO MUCH about herself, and kept cutting me off like she already knew what I would say. Like lady, you don't even know me; please stfu and let me talk. She would ask the same questions after cutting me off, and I repeatedly told her that if she let me finish, she would get the answer. Then, when she finally let me finish, she realized that her initial judgment of me wasn't accurate. I got so frustrated I just stopped talking and listened to her yap about NOTHING, and all I wanted to do was knock everything over and walk out. She spoke of her career at UH, her 30 years of experience, her 50yr old male client and his issues, EVERYTHING ELSE BUT ME. I left so upset that I wanted to slap somebody. I want an accurate assessment from somebody who cares to understand my state of mind, not somebody who thinks they already know me before I can even get a sentence out.

DO NOT MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH Dr. Tutson
Telehealth
My daughter was traumatized after her appointment. The doctor was rude and asked for specific details of trauma which were absolutely not necessary for a diagnosis. She made the appointment seeking help with a diagnosis after an attempt on her own life. The doctor was not sensitive at all to her situation and seemed more concerned about other diagnoses instead of a suicide attempt. Please do not send your loved one here if they are struggling with mental health issues. They will not receive the help they need and instead it may send them down a dangerous path once again.
