I am super terrified of Dentists because of a terrible experience I’ve had with one Dentist, Dr. Dash. He caused me so much fear that any time I get into a dentist chair I literally tremble and shake like a leaf. I called Dr. Wislo a few times to ask for something to reduce my stress. Twice she helped me a lot. Two weekends ago I broke a tooth so deep the entire root was exposed and the pain was so excruciating I to go to the Dentist right away. I was scared as heck like always. I hadn’t gone to the dentist in yrs and needed a lot of work done because I was so scared. Well I broke the tooth on a weekend and called to have her paged because I had an appointment that Monday to get my tooth taken out. She wasn’t very friendly and told me she doesn’t prescribe controlled medication. Felt like a junkie, I’m not. Spent $300 to be put to sleep when I could have spent 58 cent for one pill to relax me. Need new doctor.

I have only great things to say about Dr. Wislow. She listens to the patient and explains very well. I have been a patient at Penn Plum Family Medicine for almost 20 years, unfortunately I have to move on because of the insurance war between UPMC and Highmark. But on my way out the door I do not hesitate to recommend Dr. Harbaugh, Dr, Newcomer or Dr. Wislow. They will take good care of you!
