Dr. Vani Sabesan, MD

Dr Sabesan treats you like a number, horrible bedside manner, she rushes you if she realizes she can't book you for surgery. She doesn't say hi or bye just ask some questions standing at the door and runs off. Not sure if this even qualifies as a doctor's appointment bc she doesn't really look or touch you. After waiting a few minutes realizing she was done, I went out into the hallway and she pointed to the exit. I had to explain that I wasn't done bc I had questions and had to Google my symptoms to get her to agree with a diagnosis that made sense. Now I realize that when I was waiting in the room, I overheard her having a conversation with another patient about anti-inflammatories, seems like I'm not the only one that has to have their appointment in the hallway.

This was the worst medical appointment I have ever had. I felt attacked for getting injured and not seeing immediate medical attention. All she did was tell me everything she could not do for me and did nothing to help me with my injury and reducing my pain. I have since seen another provider and have gotten the care I needed. She is mean and rude with no compassion at all. I feel she may have something going on personally, but don't take it out on your patients!!

I’ve never left a review for anything in my entire life, never felt the need to. I’d like to start off saying her staff was extremely helpful in clarifying her diagnosis after she stormed off. She came into the room visibly frustrated and started yelling at me when I didn’t understand her diagnosis. Clearly, there is something going on in her personal life, and I would like to think she is an okay person, but I would not recommend her services until she can get the help she needs

I fell and not only dislocated my patella in two pieces in my thigh and below my knee, a gruesome injury. Went by ambulance to JFK and was admitted that Friday and because of blood thinners I couldn’t have surgery until Sunday. Thank God Dr Sabesan was the surgeon on call. Not only did she repair the mess that was a badly fractured patella but she is the kindest, most competent, most compassionate, most wonderful human being and surgeon. I adore her and her staff is wonderful too. I feel like it was divine intervention that brought her to me. I recommend her so highly she is an amazing doctor. If you need the best Dr Vani Sabesan is it.

I recently had to have clavical surgery and Dr. Sabesan was the surgeon who performed my operation. Gosh, she was just so nice and kind and 100% knowledgeable about my injury. She and her entire staff are absolutely amazing. Being my first surgery, I was terrified, but Dr. Sabesan reassured me and explained every detail of the operation to me. Total Reverse shoulder replacement Surgery. Took total charge and put me totally at ease. I feel she has my back.

My right shoulder was useless so I got a total shoulder replacement, the inverted one. My strength and mobility before surgery was very very limited. December 13th, 2019 was The Day and 4 months later the outcome is impressive... from strength and mobility I am 95% and still progressing. No pain, no upsets ever. Being disciplined doing physical therapy and exercises is essential. Outcome exceeded my expectations... Dr. Sabesan is not only a great surgeon and a great person, but also great leader putting together an managing a fabulous team... she is a happy twister Great job Kuddos to Cleveland Clinic Thank you all and God Bless

In my opinion the Worst Mistake I Ever made was going to see this - doctor! The consequences of which I'll have to live with for the remainder of my life! I found her to be curt and unsympathetic! Medically? Personally I found her lacking! If I could have I would have given her zero stars but unfortunately that wasn't an option!!! My recommendation to any potential patients...go elsewhere!!

Our 16 yr old daughter had a terrible accident and thought she'd never play volleyball again. Dr. Sabesan made it possible, her confidence and passion gave us hope. I have never witnessed a Doctor that genuinely cares about their patients. She contacted the physical therapist herself, 2 weeks after surgery to ensure our daughter was getting the best after care. Dr. Sabesan is amazing and her staff is always on point, always pleasant and professional.. We are forever grateful !

As a first time patient of Dr. Sabesan, she made me feel as if she had known my history prior to me visiting. So friendly when I was in discomfort & gave me direct attention when answering my questions plus gave understandable explanations. Evidently she has passed along that friendliness attitude to her nurse trainee Sandra Koen. Highly recommend the team.

Dr. Sabesan is one more reason why I am so happy that I live near Cleveland Clinic. A few months ago we met her when my wife broke her wrist. Dr. Sabesan explained the options available, gave a recommendation after we requested it, and the non-surgical result was excellent. Her staff is also excellent. One gets the impression that happy people are treating you. We recommend Dr. Sabesan and her staff highly.

This was a terrible experience. She rushed in and out; prescribed a drug that was dangerous because of my existing heart condition,which indicated she did not review my record . For thumb arthritis gave me a drug I can't take or surgery. I had it injected under ultrasound which she dismissed and it worked. No bedside manner. I would not recommend her.

Dr. Sabesan really cares about her patients and outcomes. I have a complex shoulder history and she has always been there/been available when needed (both pre and post op). I highly recommend her!

I had the worst experience of my life. She prescribed me an anti inflammatory that has an ingredient I am allergic to in it!!! It took 3 weeks to get a hold of her because her receptionists never called back my pharmacy. Finally about to get my anti inflammatory today but she was not there so her ta had to try to figure out what I can have.
