Expert care with bracing for scoliosis
Dr Murthy treated my daughter 15 years ago with bracing for her diagnosis of scoliosis (she had an S curve that was rapidly progressing). After diligently following Dr Murthy’s treatment plan, my now adult daughter avoided surgery and I give the credit to both Dr Murthy and our fabulous brace maker, Liz. It wasn’t easy convince a teenage girl to wear a brace but between Dr Murthy’s expertise in this specific field and Liz’s kindness and gentle encouragement we got through it. At our last appointment, when my daughter was discharged from the practice, Dr Murthy hugged us and we all shed a few tears as we said goodbye.

Went for myself (adult). She's very stubborn; won't listen to you and thinks your opinions / facts are nonsense (I'm well educated and worked in medical for a bit). Great with the technical aspects of scoliosis (measuring the degree, etc.) but did not offer me any more information than I already knew. Spent $50 to have her say to continue / increase my exercising regime and to go to someone else at her practice if pain doesn't go away because she does not specialize in that. Wouldn't recommend.

Dr Murthy was been a true blessing to my daughter. It’s been a year since we started seeing Dr Murthy and my daughter’s spine has improved tremendously with bracing and we are so thankful.

My 14 yo daughter has been seeing Dr. Murthy for 2 years. Dr. M speaks directly to her and gives her a voice in her treatment options. She gave her the option of a brace, even if she did not need one based on the usual criteria. It was offered more for aesthetics so that any rotation would hopefully not progress and become more apparent. I researched, and decided that we liked this approach. She also discussed Schroth and yoga, raising the idea of strengthening the core/whole body.

I used to see Dr. Murthy and I did not like her. She was very rude and disrespectful towards my Mother. She would talk to her as if she was ignorant. She seemed very unfriendly and she doesn't really work well with children. I used to dread going to the doctors to see her.

I brought my son to Dr. Murthy and she immediately said he needed a brace and that we were lucky because she has a patent on a modified Boston Brace and sent me straight to the orthotics place,. I decided to go for 2 other opinions and both of the other doctors said the same thing. My son did not need a brace and her brace would not help him with his condition. She took advantage of parents trying to help there child and pushed her brace on us for no reason.
