Excellent Spine Doctor
I feel confident I am receiving appropriate care with Dr. Akuthota. His education, training, and many years of experience gives me the confidence I require when in need of medical care. Very importantly, Dr Akuthota is a compassionate man. He projects a combination of empathy and knowledge not typically found in the medical field. In addition, he has enormous patience. His ability to truly listen to my complaints and respond with effective treatment is very much appreciated. Absolutely not
This doctor knows nothing about sacral disorders. Left me to get progressively worse without offering what is a known and appropriate treatment. Recently requested a referral to an orthopedic doc that would know how to handle my issue, I was told to reach out to a wrist specialist which is useless, the sacrum is in the spine.

EXCELLENT PHYSICIAN
DR. AKUTHOTA HAS AMAZING COMMUNICATION SKILLS. HE TAKES TIME TO EXPLAIN YOUR CONDITION AND HOW HE CAN TREAT IT. HE IS HIGHLY SKILLED AND HAS TREATED ME FOR SHOULDER PAIN AND ARTHRITIS AND VERY SUCCESSFULLY. I highly RECOMMEND HIM AS A TALENTED AND KIND PHYSICIAN.

Dr. Akuthota is very knowledgeable and also incredibly kind. I am glad there are doctors like him who will treat back problems without immediately suggesting surgery. I feel fortunate to have been referred to him. My only frustration is that it doesn’t seem possible to communicate with him between appointments as other staff handle messages sent to him. Would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone.
