Insurance nightmare
My husband is leaving Dr. Browder’s office after the staff’s refusal to code “routine bloodwork” correctly for insurance that Dr. Browder insisted on despite my husband questioning it since he is young. But it being routine and a part of his yearly checkup, she had him follow through with it. After being slapped with a $1000 bloodwork bill, we tried for weeks to contact someone in the office, but nobody would call us back. We tried to go through insurance; they literally said we’ll be happy to cover it, please just tell them to resubmit. More unanswered phone calls. Finally a returned one to say we’ll try again. Same bill resent over and over in the mail. Finally on 12-31, 3 days before we’d be sent to collections, the office responded to say we did our best. It didn’t work. It’s a mismanagement of their clinical practice and a severe lack of advocacy for their own patients to refuse to do something insurance said they’d be happy to do- and you can appreciate how often that happens.

A doctor who listens and cares
Dr. Browder listens and cares. She took the time to give me some lifestyle coaching and made some good suggestions for me. The way she presented it made me listen. She's a good doctor.

Dr. Browder cares for her patients – Dec 13, 2024

Unfortunately, Can not get another appointment!
Our doctor left the area last year and we were assigned to Dr. Browder. She was kind and listened. My husband and I really liked her. However, over the past year, I have not been able to see her again because I can not even get to a receptionist to make an appointment. I will be on hold for over an hour every time I try. We both have to go to the walk in clinic in town when we are sick. Right now, I am sick again and I have been on hold for 45 minutes. We are going to have to find a new Dr because this is unacceptable. Sorry Dr. Browder. We really liked you but this is not working and not healthy for us.

Excellent Doctor
I needed to find a local doctor that could handle not just my medical needs, but that of my wife and our children (ages 3 and 4). Dr. Browder not only met my expectations, she exceeded them. She took everything my wife and I said seriously. She's given us fast and accurate treatments for our ailments and is exceptionally good with small children. You can tell that she genuinely cares and wants to help.

Very poor attitude
Dr. Browder is an extremely rude physician. I've only seen her once, and believe me, that's more than enough to form an opinion like this. She acted like it was a huge hassle to even see me, she frequently cut me off while I was explaining my medical history, and she basically told me there wasn't anything she could do for me. No referrals, no testing, nothing. If she had done any of that, she would have found some very serious health issues. But it was apparently too much of a bother for her to take time out of her busy schedule to treat her patients.

Excellent Doctor
Our previous Personal Care Physician left in December so we were in need of a different one. When we had our new patient appointment with Dr., Browder we were very impressed. She was very personable. knowledgeable. and interested in addressing our health issues. We are very happy to have her as our doctor and believe we will get excellent care

Unwilling to help
Due to our 5th physician in 5 years quitting Practice in Decatur, all through Memorial Physicians group, we were again forced to find a new primary care Provider..We were refered to Dr Browser who recently quit practice in Champaign IL. In greeting Dr Browser she spoke of having a bad day. She was preturbed entering the room after her kind young nurse told her of my complicated health history. Dr Browser asked me to share, I did share and she responded in haste, What do you want me to do today. We were stunned and I spoke, we simply need a Doctor to manage my health. She then in haste looked again at my chart.. ,After some time she basically stayed she couldn't help. We agreed. After we left, we asked who would manage my prescription until I was able to find a Doctor. They were unsure yet thought Dr Wall who I have never seen would. I have autoimmune disease, including diabetes. No one ever took one my prescriptions for the 10 days it took to get into the HSHS medical group. A horror
