Dr. Victor Escobar, DDS

My husband had an appointment on October 24, 2024 with Dr. Escobar for cysts in his TMJ area on his skull, causing severe headaches, etc , he stated he was unable to help my husband, it was to in depth (totally fine and we appreciated his honesty) and was going to refer him to Chicago (this didn't happen), weeks later, he was going to refer him to another facility in Champaign. Told me he spoke with the new referral Dr. in person. I called and he hadn't spoke to Dr. Escobar in months. Dr. Escobar lost his MRI disc. Later it was magically found, delivered to the new referral, when the new Dr. took one look, said he needed to be seen in Chicago. This all took place over months. Back to Dr. Escobar's office making another referral unfortunately. Last time I spoke with the office manager on January 3, 2025 she promised to get us an appt and would call. Have not heard back from anyone at that office. Our Nero office, has gotten him an appt. in Chicago and it took them 3 days.

Could barely understand what he was saying. Charged 208 for a 5 min consult. He couldn't even tell I have already had 6 teeth pulled I had say something. They don't have payment plans for those who can't afford care. Trying to change me for 32 teeth to be extracted when I only have 26. He reprimanded a nurse right in front of me for angle she took x-ray and that she took x-ray without me taking my glasses off. Not very professional and didn't listen when I tried to explain why I was referred to oral surgeon. Would definitely recommend going somewhere else

Got a referral from my dentist. Saw Dr Escobar for diagnosis and treatment of ONJ due to taking cancer meds. He did X-rays and diagnosed me with ONJ. However, that’s where he stopped doing his job. He said he would consult with my oncologist and together they would come up with a treatment plan. He would be in touch soon. Never heard another word from him. My oncologist never heard from him either. I contacted his office again and they didn’t even care! No help whatsoever! So unprofessional!!! People, save your money and go to someone who is willing to do what they say they will. I do NOT recommend this Dr at all!

A bully who doesn't listen to his patients concerns. Found out he wrote disparaging personal comments in my medical records for pursuing second opinions on his diagnoses. Should be fired.

I highly recommend this doctor because he did his job perfectly with his team! He extracted three wisdom teeth, and I fell well and everything looks good! For me like for woman, it's important! No pain, no tumor of cheeks after surgery! Before the surgery we met, and he explain everything very well, he answered for all my questions, and he was attentive!
