Dr. Vikas Desai, MD

As a first time patient I 'thought' I made an appointment with dr. Desai and when I got there I was seen by dr Anol - no big deal. They did blood work and I called 10 days later on a Friday for the results - I was told to call back Tuesday - I called back Wednesday which is now 2 weeks and the girl told me dr anol is looking at them and to call back in 30 minutes - that was at 9:30 - I never heard back the entire day so then I called back this morning Thursday and the girls said she's gonna give them to Dr. desai right now and to stay by my phone because I'm gonna get a call back that was also at 9:30 never heard back.They will be sending the results to my new primary doctor because I am no longer a patient with Dr. Desai. How do you treat a new patient like that?

Blood pressure meds refill request wasnt being filled despite multiple requests. I called the East Islip office at 2pm today and was directed to leave a voice mail. Called back at 2:35 and the voice mail was on saying that 'they are sorry as their office are closed now. office hours are Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.'

This is a perfect example of a "doctor" who should look for a different career preferably one that doesn't require public interaction as he doesn't even look at a patient much less treat them. Worst experience in my life and only went there because it was so close to home and mostly saw the PA Christine who is no longer there. Seeing a real doctor now. Stay away from this individual who literally couldn't care less about your health.

The office staff is completely incompetent! I only went because I loved the PA Christine! She left! The office managers are HORRIBLE. Desai is RUDE. Should NOT be part of this panel! Go somewhere else

I am currently looking for a new doctor. That says it all. Also his staff stinks, rude.

His office staff are terrible. They are rude discourteous and never return phone calls. The medical assistant , dr. Desai the RN named Tomasino are even worse. Tomasino never returned a phone call and is rude and abrupt on the phone. She once yelled at me she didn't have time to talk to me. I did my blood test and Thomasino wouldn't give me the lab test results for one month. I had to keep calling and calling and dealing with the rude receptionist . They never sent my prescriptions to the pharmacy. Don't ever go to this doctor . I am finding another doctor. This does not deserve even one star.

Dr. Desai, on his day off, went above and beyond to make sure I was given a Saturday appointment even though his rude staff was making it difficult.

The office staff is good the best Dr. In the office is Tracy O'Nal, DO. A true professional. A DO is equivalent to a MD. They pass the same board's.

Did not examine anything or explain what he prescribed. Office staff not helpful in anyway, couldnt walk he let me leave office without as much as a recomendation or ace bandage. Needed an mri for a week they never folkowed up with insurance company had to go to the emergency room

Have been going here for years but this office has just gotten worse and worse. This will be my last appointment. The desk staff is generally very rude. The physicians assistant was texting while taking my readings. The doctor appeared totally disinterested in why I was there but he sometimes is like that. The final straw was after he told me thank you and good bye he immediately started texting! I wasn't even out of the room yet. Explains why his staff is the way they are. Not going back

The staff are the worst! They are rude they dont return calls I left a message for the office manager a month ago of course she never returned the call Dr.Desai is a good doctor but his staff is so unprofessional Do not go to this office!!!

This Dr is aweful. Doesn’t speak has an attitude like your a bother to him. I am never going Back!

Would not recommend. Not the friendliest individual and not personable. If you want genuine care, looking elsewhere may be best.

Dr Desai is always thorough and friendly. He is always on time and doesn't make me wait. It is easy to get an appointment for the same day. O have been coming to this office for many years., and have no plans to change. I highly recommend him

There are NO words to describe what an awful Dr he is. This man has no consideration for his patients his attitude is awful he doesn't talk to you, doesn't look at you,and NEVER does he get back to you with results of tests or x-rays. He makes you feel like its a bother to see you, you ask him a question and he has no response. My advice is to do yourself a favor and find another Dr. You will be better off..

Dr. Vikas V. Desai, called my home today to and said he is ashamed and how his staff behaved and gave me his sincere apologies. Now that was very nice of him.. Thank you Dr. Desai!

Worst doctor with the worst receptionist WORST

No doubt that I have recommended a lot of Patients to Dr. Desai. Am excellent Professional aimed to give his best service to people in need of an old fashion Medical Doctor and not your Insurance company even though like all of us paying our Bills
