Dr. isn't the problem
They drop clients if they haven't returned in over a year. There is no call to schedule, no appointment planning, and absolutly no warning. They simply offer to reestablish you as a patient, which does not provide a physical nor will it address issues. Not to mention they book months out, so good luck if something is wrong and you would like to seek medical advice from your own physician.

Too many 'KARENS' not enough seriousness....
There seems to be too many 'Karen' types leaving responses anymore on this site as this should be about the DOCTOR and not his staff. Staff come and go very often in the medical field as so many are unable to handle the pace of a front office. Just another Marsha... Marsha... Marsha kinda thing... Dr Sciortino has hospital priv so he always sees his patients every morning before work so sometimes he is late. He also spends an absorbent amount of time in his rooms with patients so if he is running behind... it is because he LISTENS to you... hence... spends time with you and not just cuts and runs like so many others. That is what a real Dr does... He is one of the most kind and caring Drs I know. He has treated my family for almost 20yrs now and I credit my wife's survival and well being on his abilities. I would trust no other. If ya want a fast food server for a Dr... go somewhere else. Dr Sciortino is a good man and a good Doctor. Enough said....

Does not address problems, blows you off . Waiting time is a minimum of an hour. He does not know his patients. He just tries to move on to next patient.

**WARNING** WARNING** Sad to see such a good Doctor having such a low class people working for him. They have Veronica who is the Medical Biller and whe she answer the phone she is rude, bitter and malicious person and she will either put you on hold forever or simply hang up on you. Since I had it with her rudeness I found a new Doctor and they need my medical records. They have requested my records 10 days ago and she is just playing a game with us. I told her to fax docs to my new Doctor and explaines that I was in bed with fracture on my leg and she needed to sent it directly to my new Doctor and she responded the records are here for you to pick up knowing I was in recovery from a surgery. I need refills on my medications and she is blocking me for getting new refills with my new Doctor. Ashley was a very efficient and excelent worker! Fast, courteous and pleasant to talk to. Now Ashley is no longer with them and Veronica said she is short handed but it's all because she treat people like garbage. Imagine if she treats the patients the way she does imagine working with her. In a normal atmosphere she would of been fired by now long time ago. The Doctor allows these type of behavior in his practice without any doubt. He perfectly know the situation so that's why he is going to continue losing patients like me and my husband that will never return to such a TOXIC place. Veronica forgot that Thanks to us patients she has a job. I'm filing a complaint also to the Better Business Bureau for their record to stay and also inform the Medical Board of Florida, about VERONICA for her constant arrasment to the patients and the Doctor for allowing such behavior at his business. He had 5 different receptionist in less than 2 years and I honestly think Veronica has some mental issues. God knows what back ground she comes from and how can a person hold so many grudges against everyone. Maybe she is traumatized or crazy to think she can treat people bad for no reason. Glad to hear Im not the only one complaining about this trashy worker of Dr. Scortino

Was treated extremely bad here !!!
On my first visit with the appointment system it is not good at all. They don't verify your appointments they don't send you a text they don't call. They'll just change up your appointment the last minute. They did it to me twice I went out there with my fiance to get her appointment going. They made me feel very bad. Out of 40 years going to doctors I've never had such a bad experience in the process of the reception area. I meant the doctor he seem to be okay kind of strange everybody with masks everywhere that's their decision. But we're in the state of Florida. The environment I did not like and at the end of the day they send me a letter for me not to go back to their office? When the year 2023 update your system and you should have the correct employees receiving in the front office area. I have family in the business and the most important part in this business is how you treat especially patience.

Recommend Dr Sciortino for anyone young or old
My family has been seen by Dr Sciortino since our first coming to Viera, FL 2005, from suburbs Washington, DC, where we were apprehensive of finding physicians with same expertise and knowledge as that highly rated medical environment. Bottom line, we would compare him over the best doctors we've been seen by in our lifetime

I have been trying for more than 3 weeks to get my prescription refilled. Insurance will not cover the med prescribed so they have sent Dr Sciortino's office the information to pick a different med 2 times. The girl at the front office said the fax did not come thru. I asked her to have someone from the Dr office call Walgreens to take care of my prescription, she told me to call my insurance, get a list of meds and give the list to Dr Sciortino's office. I called Walgreens again & they said the list of availble meds was sent in the 2 faxes. I called her back at 4:15 to see if the info was there. She said no & that they were there until 5:00. I called them at 4:45 and it went straight to the answering machine. I've been in the waiting area before and watched as the girl at the front window puts people on hold, clowns around in the office & does not take care of phone calls. I am changing Drs, not because of Dr Sciortino but because of the incompetent help at the front desk.

Dr. Sciortino is exceptional! He never makes you feel rushed and will take all the time necessary to answer questions and get the diagnosis right. My wife and I have been with him for years and hope to continue in the future. Referrals to specialists have been good. His European education and background give him a unique perspective on medicine that is refreshing. Highly recommend him...

Dr. Sciortino actually sits and listens to his patients and truly cares about them as he would to his own family. He has such a caring bedside manner that makes you feel comfortable in his office. Definitely hard to find someone who is so attentive to your health. Absolutely an Excellent Physician.

My insurance assigned this doctor to me. He explained he only examines patients in the month of their birth and made me an appointment for 9 months later. He also made two referrals to specialists who did not take my insurance. The next day a member of his office staff called and yelled at me. She later called back to explain that she yelled at me because she thought I was someone else. I failed to keep the appointment nine months later, and three months after that he sent me a bill.

My family and I love Dr. Sciortino. He is a caring doctor, listens to me, talks with me, tries a variety of measures to treat symptoms and he’s fairly easy to get an appointment with. What I love the most is he practices by himself and I get to see him every time I go in. He doesn’t have a PA which I love.

Just an amazing doctor! He actually listens to me and my concerns. Recently had an ER visit where they sent me home without treatment. When I went to Dr Sciortino the next day he thankfully got me the help I needed to get my vision back after a bad glaucoma attack. Because of him I can see again!! I can never then him enough. Awesome doctor that actually listens to you!!

He cares about his patients and takes the time to not only ask questions but actually listening. He is a great clinician and has great diagnosis skills. You can tell he was train in Europe as he is no quack as many doctors in the US that only care about getting money. He actually performs differential diagnosis and refers to specialist when necessary. He is kind, sweet and definitely not afraid of practicing medicine. He is the best Family Physician in Brevard, period

I would not recommend him for the care of any of my family or friends. He is the most careless doctor in brevard county. My mother is a patient of his and we are looking to get her a different doctor that specializes in patient care and not just ordering irrelevant tests that have nothing to do with the patients diagnosis. We are working to see what can be done about his continued negligence!

Dr. Sciortino's diagnostic skills are amazing... He was definitely born to do this. Honestly, I think that some of these reviews are unfair since a lot of it is not even Dr.Sciortino's fault... He works extremely hard and cares deeply about his patients... One of the best doctors I've ever met.
