Dr. Vincent Vena, MD

On February 20, 2024, I had a serious skiing accident at Seven Springs. Dr Vena operated on my broken femur and place a titanium rod in my left leg. Two days after surgery, I began rehab at the Crichton Center. I’m pleased with my recovery and progress over the past month. At age 73, I was worried about complications but everything has gone so smoothly. I’m anxious to see Dr. Vena and his staff in the next few weeks.

On July 19,2023 Dr. Vena did a Total Knee Replacement on my Left Knee. I go to W. Pa Sports Medicine for Therapy. On September 13, 2023 I went for my follow up checkup with X-rays. My next appointment is September 2024. On Sept 14 I hit a bag of balls and played one hole at my club, pared it. On Sept 16 I played 18 holes and shot 45-43. This is less than two months since my Total Knee Replacement! I am amazed at Dr. Vena's ability and I am lucky that he is my Surgeon!

I had a total knee replacement surgery by Dr. Vena three months ago and and couldn’t be more pleased with my recovery so far. He did a fantastic job and my pain level after surgery was much less than I was expecting. Dr. Vena is a very kind and caring surgeon, and his office staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be seeking out his skills again to have my other knee replaced as well!!

Went to Dr Vena for pain in thigh after attending a presentation given by him on robotic hip and knee replacements. In the presentation he mentioned that he would take the most conservative approach first and I liked that. Unfortunately I was too far past conservative and he determined I had a deteriorating hip joint and after discussion recommended a hip replacement that was scheduled on that visit. It was done by Dr Vena robotically on 4/18/23 with outstanding results. I am totally pain free and the recovery was very easy. Dr Vena was great and I am thankful that a friend recommended his presentation to me.

Dr. Vena did a total hip replacement in early February for me . Procedure went well and recovery was smooth. I was up and about in a few days. I highly recommend Dr. Vena.

After researching total hip replacement and orthopedic surgeons who utilize the assistance of the Mako robot - I decided Dr. Vena would be the surgeon to perform my surgery. Dr. Vena was straightforward regarding the procedure and post op expectations. By following his plan - I had a very positive experience and uncomplicated recovery.

Dr. Vena performed a total knee replacement five months ago for me and I am very happy with the results. So much so, that I will be scheduling surgery with him for my other knee later in the year.

Dr. Vena performed hip replacement surgery on me and everything went perfectly. Three weeks earlier he performed the same surgery on my twin brother and his surgery went perfectly as well. I highly recommend him if you're thinking about hip replacement surgery.

Dr. Vena did a hip replacement in early Feburary last year 2021 for me . What a smooth and painless procedure. Recovery was very short term days not weeks. I highly reccomend Dr. Vena his procedure is pretty much painless.

A highly qualified surgeon who has currently replaced my left shoulder, Ove the past 20 years, he has repaired a broken ankle, done a total knee replacement and now the shoulder. Before going to Dr. Vena, the pain was so bad, nothing worked, after total hip replacement surgery on Dec. 2, 2020 the pain was gone. Now 2 months later, I have no pain at all. The incision is only about 3 inches long. I would recommend Dr. Vena to anyone, Very informative and nice bedside manner not pushy or arrogant.

Dr. Vincent Vena, Western PA Orthopedics in my opinion is an excellent surgeon. I trust him completely. He has replaced my knee and both hips and did an excellent job. He is very caring and professional. Do not be afraid to have surgery. He has changed my life for the better. He is very upfront and honest, which I like. You do have to follow his instruction and everything will go great. I went home the day after surgery for all three and had no trouble. I highly recommend him.

I had two total hip replacements (June and September). Dr. Vena was knowledgeable, gave relevant factual information, options and advice, Based on his communication and experience I was confident in his ability to successfully perform the surgery. He was reassuring and eased concerns. I was pleased that I followed (professional) recommendations to have Dr. Vena perform the surgery and have not had any complications or unexpected problems during recovery.

Dr. Vena repaired my son's shoulder and put his knee back together after a horrific car accident. He did an amazing job and now my son can walk again and use his arm without any difficulty even though at the scene people thought he may even lose his arm and leg. We are forever grateful to Dr. Vena for helping to give our son his life back.

Dr Vena performed a total left hip replacement on me in April 2019. I'm 69 and was having problems for some time. Dr. Vena and his staff did an awesome job leading up to the surgery and did a flawless job in taking care of my hip. I was released from the hospital the next day and given therapy exercises to do (never went to a physical therapy session). Recovery has been great and I feel better than I have in years. Thank you Dr. Vena and I highly recommend you to anyone who may be having hip problems.

On October 15, 2018, Dr. Vena performed left reverse shoulder replacement surgery for my husband. My husband has virtually been pain free since that date. Dr. Vena is an excellent orthopedic surgeon and I would urge anyone with shoulder issues to PLEASE contact Dr. Vena. He is a terrific surgeon and person. You will never be left in the "dark" as Dr. Vena is very thorough in answering questions and explaining procedures.

Thanks to Dr. Vincent Vena's skill as a surgeon, I, at age 78, am able to once again participate in daily activities, minus the pain I tolerated prior to my surgery. Thank you and God Bless you, Dr. Vena! Eleanor Pountney Johnstown

Thank you for taking the pain from my knee! Dr Vena surgically cleaned up my torn meniscus and after 4 weeks, I am without pain and almost back to normal activity. I'm 84 years old and an active person. Loved him and his staff!
