I had been struggling with a bad undiagnosed knee issue for a year. I had been seeking various treatments during that time but they all had no success. Within a few minutes of first meeting Dr. Shah I felt completely at ease. He approached my issue thoughtfully, presented options and together we decided to proceed with surgery. I can now sleep, walk, move, climb stairs all without pain. At my post surgical follow up he explained and showed me what was found and how it was corrected. He is a very intelligent, well spoken person with a great bedside manner. You know that feeling after you meet someone that everything will be OK? That is Dr. Shah.

As a registered nurse who had never undergone a surgical procedure, I have to admit, there was some reluctance on my part to having not only one, but two meniscus repairs performed. However, after having both done within three weeks of each other by Dr. Shah, I can very happily and confidently say, I would have had them done sooner had I realized just how seamless and amazing the experience was going to be.Every single member of the team throughout the process, from start to finish, was extremely reassuring, caring, competent, and patient. Which is something that can often be hard to find in healthcare these days.There are not enough words to express how truly grateful I am to the entire team for, first and foremost, healing me, but also for providing such an amazing experience. Intermittent sharp pain mostly in the right knee but at times the left knee as well. I was fortunate to be referred to Dr .Vineet P. Shah, Medical Director, Orthopedic Surgery, Advocate Health Care. To the credit of Dr. Shah and his outstanding staff I received complete x-rays of my hip and both knees before my appointment with Dr. Shah, which allowed him to thoroughly evaluate the medical issues involved. He immediately informed upon introducing himself that my medical condition did not require surgery or other invasive procedures. Dr. Shah answered all of my questions in clear understandable language, explained what was going on, and recommended home exercises to strengthen both knees. I have been pain free since adopting Dr. Shah's instructions and home exercise regimen. Dr. Shah's commitment to my good health is beyond question and his conservative approach make him an outstanding orthopedic surgeon and medical care giver of the highest order.

Dr. Shah performed an emergency orthopedic surgery after a bad dog bite, and I feel very lucky to have had such an attentive and skilled doctor. He carefully explained the surgery beforehand and answered all my questions thoroughly. He was highly involved in my care throughout the (multi-month) healing process, at first even changing the wound dressings himself twice per week to ensure they didn't become infected. He was a great advocate throughout the physical therapy process as well. Overall I also really appreciated the nursing, PT, and admin staff, who all made my many visits as smooth and comfortable as possible.

I saw Dr Shah and he took his time in explaining to me everything he needed to do for my knee surgery and pre=op and recommended a couple of things. His patience is amazing and bed side manner is very respectful and caring..I could not asked for more he was just so knowledgable in his specialty but most of all his way of caring and being very professional with bedside manners. Thank you for making me feel comfortable in proceeding to surgery.

Saw Dr. Shah on account of right hip pain and having difficulty walking. Dr. Shah was the only physician who could recognize that my hip was bone on bone. I had been suffering for 4+ years with other doctors telling me it was my osteoarthritis and wanting to prescribe anti-inflammatories, pain management/chiropractic care. An upright x-ray was taken showing the bone on bone. Dr. Shah indicated that a total hip replacement was needed.

Dr Shah's talent is very appreciated! While talking with my husband, he looked directly at the patient and spoke in terms he could understand. At one point in the recovery phase, he was feeling down, Dr Shah looked him straight in the eye and said "we are going to get through this together." My husband felt committed and more at ease after hearing this. His Quality of Life has improved so much, no walker, no cane and riding a bike. This has been a true blessing. Dr Shah's team is exceptional, Jimmy Garala, PA, Leyna Anderson, NP and Sheri Counts, MA are very patient conscious. THANK YOU DR SHAH AND TEAM!!

I had a very pleasant experience with Dr Shah. I had a arthritic hip, I had been suffering with for a couple years. Dr. Shah ordered X-RAYS of the hip and determined I was a candidate for hip replacement. The surgery was scheduled and performed. It was a same day surgery procedure. I immediately noticed relief from the pain and was able to walk without pain. The professionalism of Dr. Shah and his staff made my surgery a life changing experience. Dr Shah diagnosed my hip issue, thoroughly explained the corrective procedures, and successfully performed my hip replacement surgery. I was up and walking in no time. Dr Shah staff is amazing! Everything is performed with excellence. I felt safe in Dr care. Nothing less than 5 stars!

I went to another doctor for knee pain and the same imaging tests were done and the other doctor completely dismissed me like i was crazy. Dr. Shah took me serious and discovered my knee needed surgery and now I'm finally feeling better. He and his staff took care of all of the aftercare appointments and a device that i needed after surgery. The ice/compression machine to use for 3 weeks after surgery and to begin PT 3 days after surgery and following up appointments. I didn't schedule anything, it was done for me. Very thorough. The staff was very nice and helpful as well. I highly recommended this doctor.
