Dr Srivastiva was awesome while serving as my doctor at Newsome Eye. Very thorough during appointments and always took the time to explain things and answer my questions. She also performed 2 surgeries on my eye, both were very successful. Awesome doc!

Dr Srivastava is very thorough. I’ve had several other doctors at Newsoneye do my follow up appointment and they weren’t as thorough. She asks if you have any questions. I never felt hurried. I trusted her to be my surgeon for my cataract surgery. I would highly recommend her.

I went in today for an appointment and informed them I could not wear a mask due to a medical condition. The receptionist was very nice and told me I did not have to wear the mask but should take a tissue to place over my mouth and nose when examined. A few minutes later she called me aside and said she had spoken with Dr. Srivastava and that I would have to wear a mask to take one of the diagnostic tests for glaucoma because "the room was very small". That particular test requires a great deal of concentration and I told her that would be a problem. She said if I couldn't wear the mask the doctor indicated I would have to reschedule. I asked how I was supposed to do that when I don't know when the mask requirement is going to be lifted by the office. No answer. So even though I am high risk for glaucoma, my doctor has refused to see me in a way that will accommodate my medical needs. Incredible. My advice is stay away from Newsome Eye. They do not care about the needs of the patient.

Worst experience. I got SLT for glaucoma without numbing drops, because her staff would shove a tissue in my eye as soon as the drop did, absorbing the drop. I went through one eye without it being numb, and have had inflammation ever since. I cannot tolerate drops in that eye now. Please don't let this person do anything to treat you. She was laughing along with her office staff when I was angry and in pain after refusing to re-add the drops.

Dr vinutha srivastava performed standard cataract surgery on both my eyes. My left eye which had 20/15 vision on left eyeand did not need reading glasses prior to the surgery, the vision changed dramatically to 20/40. Now I can barely read snything at all. The doctor has now recommended glasses for me to wear permanently. How can your eyesight go from bad to worse after cataract surgery. However my eyesight on the other eye has got slight improvement after surgery. I can see slightly better for my long distance vision. I wish I had seen a better doctor who would have informed me earlier itself that my vision can go from bad to worse upon surgery.
