While he documents medical history and addresses concerns, I don’t feel he takes the time to truly understand me beyond my symptoms. Our interactions feel routine, lacking the deeper connection that some patients may value in their healthcare experience.

Dr. Dawson is an exceptional primary care physician. I HIGHLY recommend him. I’ve been his patient at UCF Health for three years, and every visit with him has been consistently excellent. I have great confidence in his skills and knowledge. He is methodical and checks that I’ve kept appointments with the specialists he recommends. He is easy to talk with. Using layman’s terms, he reviews the specialists' findings, the results of my blood tests, my prescriptions, and my general health at every visit. He asks probing questions about my health and listens carefully to the answers. He is patient when answering my questions, and his answers show that he is up to date on the latest medical findings. I have never felt rushed during an appointment, and I feel that he genuinely wants me to be healthy. Appointments are kept on time, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is businesslike but relaxed.

I have been seeing Dr. Dawson since 2015. Although we recently moved to the Miami area from the Orlando area, I continue to travel to Orlando to see Dr. Dawson because I am confident that he will provide me with excellent care.

Virgil Dawson has been our family Dr. since 1988. His compentency, professionalism, performance, demeanor and customer service have been a blessing over the years. He listens well and we have never felt rushed. He explains things clearly and completely. He stay on top of medical and health care topics to provide the best advice based on training, experience, wisdom and continuous education. He is very thorough in his work and makes us accountable to follow his advice.
