Beware
I have never experienced such disrespectful, passive aggressive behavior, condescending attitudes at any doctors office in my lifetime like I experienced today. My son appointment was scheduled for 3pm. We arrived at 2:40pm. We were referred here by his pediatrician. I would have never came to see a disgrace of a doctor Virginia Cortes Araiza. We waited months for this appointment. The front desk employee demanded a copay. I informed her that I wasn’t aware that there was a copay. I also told her that no one called to inform me that there was one. She stated they needed it now or my son can’t be seen. She also stated that they don’t call to tell patients that they have a copay. I asked her can she give me a copy of their policy that states this. She said okay and got up to go speak with someone.Another medical assistant comes out aggressively towards me asking what do I need. I tell her that I’m waiting on a copy of the policy. She states they don’t call patients. She then says she

It took two years to convince Dr. Araiza to test my child for growth hormone deficiency. She seemed unconcerned about the child's height. In the end, my child is in fact growth-hormone deficient. If we had started treatments two years earlier, my child would not be limited in final height the way they are now as a result of her not pursuing testing at the appropriate time. Additionally, the office is chaotic; calls are not returned in a timely fashion, if ever, and the explanation is always about short staffing.

We've been seeing Dr. Araiza for about a year now for slow growth in my twins. Although the initial appointment process was a bit frustrating (had to get copies of their charts sent over and wrist x-rays done before we could make the appointment), she has been one of the most caring, compassionate doctors I've ever dealt with. She takes the time to explain everything she's doing and why she's doing it. Talks not just to me/adults but makes sure she speaks directly with the children and always makes sure you understand everything including next steps. I highly recommend Dr. Araiza.

Run the other way. Made an appointment for my son due to growth problems and was told I need a bone age scan of the left hand along with his medical records. Dr Araiza's nurse called and told us based on the scan there was nothing that she could do to help him. We decided to keep the appointment so we could understand why she felt she could not help based on the scan. When I showed up for the appointment I was told that they would not see me without my son unless I paid the doctor $150.

We showed up for our appt 10-15 min early. They had the doors locked, saw us outside, and ignored us. It was raining off and on. When I addressed Dr. Araiza about my concern she called me rude and said not to show up early ever. She told me to show up on time everytime bc they're too busy and unequipped to handle us showing up 10 min early. The front office staff needs manners and a customer service class. Endocrin appts are a big deal for us. Needless to say we did NOT feel appreciated.
