I first met Dr. Birjiniuk two months ago, when a routine echocardiogram showed that I had 2 serious heart problems that had to be addressed with open heart surgery. I chose him to operate on me based on his reputation as an exceptional surgeon, and also as a doctor who really cares about his patients. During my first visit to his office, he was very personable, and I immediately felt very welcomed. He spent as much time as I needed to get all my questions answered, and also to get to know me. He made me feel very comfortable and it felt as he had been my doctor for years. After the surgery, which went very well, and while I was still in the hospital, he went above and beyond to help me have a smooth post-op recovery. At the post-op visit to his office, he went over all the details of the echocardiogram and x-rays, that were projected on a large HD screen on the wall of his office. This was extremely helpful, and an unforgettable experience! I wish could give Dr. Birjiniuk 5000 stars!

Wouldn't want anyone else working on me or my family. Amazing bedside manner for a renowned heart surgeon. Works magic in the OR. Extremely conservative with care and monitoring pre/post op.
