Surgery patient
From your first visit to the office, you know you are in very good hands. Dr. Dinh is extremely intelligent, informative, precise and efficient. He has a terrific staff. HIs administrator Scott is marvelous and is available at all times as you prepare for the surgery and thereafter. Highly recommend this office of fine people. Bruce V

Master Class
Dr. Dinh is patient, skilled and has incredible bedside manner. He took his time to answer all of my questions, and ensure that I knew exactly what to expect. The surgery was a tremendous success and Dr. Dinh went to extra lengths to minimize pain, ensure I was comfortable and relentlessly followed up to make sure everything came out perfectly. He made himself available to answer follow up questions and made sure that I healed beautifully. Scott who runs the office is friendly and helpful. He went above and beyond to ensure that everything was in order for my surgery and even handled a few things on my behalf (outside what is expected) to help get everything set for my surgery.

Dr. Dinh performed two emergency surgeries on me after an avalanche of medical issues hit me. Recovery was easier and less painful than I'd expected, given the nature and location of the surgeries. Other ailments ensued and delayed the final surgery that I needed. I'm still recovering/healing from the final surgery, so I couldn't say how well it all turned out (yet). Dr. Dinh's bedside manner can be a bit rushed and cool. I've been a frequent flier of our healthcare system, so I take HCW as they are. For this final surgery we spoke more often than the initial, emergency ones, and was quick to make adjustments to my diet and medications. His office manager is excellent. Very informative, friendly, takes the time to speak with patients, does the due diligence with insurance companies, and got me scheduled at the hospital that I wanted, and quickly.

Not good
I have never seen a doctor with such a bad demeanor in a hospital ! He doesn't know how to talk to a patient. He didn't have any patience to talk to me before the surgery.

Worst surgeon ever!! Did not want to do cholecystectomy on me because according to him the pain was not from the gallstones, even though all other doctors that saw me in the ER and hospital said it was gallstones. Very unprofessional. Don’t know why he needed to know what I did for a living over the phone and discrediting all other MD’s.

Stop--think twice. Dr. Dinh performed an appendectomy on my husband that was delayed for Dr. Dinh's own surgical timeline convenience which resulted in my husband laying the the emergency department for eight additional hours. He was cold and callus when he finally came in to operate. He is impatient with standard surgical questions.

Dr Dinh performed a laparoscopic appendectomy on me at Hoag hospital. Dr. Dinh asked me if I had any medical conditions in pre-op and I stated I had a miscarriage 3 weeks ago. He asked me if I had it "on purpose" insinuating that I aborted my baby when I clearly stated it was a miscarriage. This insensitivity persisted after my surgery. My incision site at my belly button continued to bleed profusely after my surgery because he did not suture the incision site. I was given towels to soak up my own blood because I would bleed through my dressing faster than they could come replace it at times. For 10 hours, I asked multiple times for Dr. Dinh to come address my bleeding but he refused to come. Finally a supervisor was called and a different surgeon came and had to suture me bedside to stop the bleeding. Dr. Dinh never followed up or apologized. I saw him in outpatient for a routine follow up and he stated my hair looked messy and blamed the nurse for my continued bleeding.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I got referred to this “surgeon” so that he could talk to me and see if he could help find a solution to possibly have cysts removed. I was talked to about them being Benign. I know that they’re non cancerous, I’ve been having so much pain and discomfort in my breasts and was given a breast exam. I’ve had it done before and a mammogram and ultrasound I know the results. When I had to wait three hours just to take my top off and have a breast exam done and say “do routine check ups” it’s complete bs. I’m upset and never have I felt uncomfortable being seen by a doctor in my life. No I would not recommend anyone to see this doctor. Now I’ll be dealing with pain and discomfort until I can find a real doctor that’ll be able to help have them removed. Worst experience I’ve ever had.
