Dr. W Shawn Ghent, MD

I love Dr Ghent. He spends the time showing me my CT scans and answers all my questions. He helps me manage my COPD regularly and his staff that do the PFT are wonderful.

I was being seen for a re evaluation of my C PAP supplies I had not been sleeping very well. I had just lost my mother and had been through surgery two weeks prior to remove a mass from my left kidney. I asked for a recommendation for a sleep med to help me during this hard time. Dr Ghent told me he wouldn’t give me anything because that would make me an addict and he wasn’t going to contribute to anyone’s addiction. He was very cold and disrespectful and made me cry. I have since changed practices.

I had Covid in 2021 oxygen levels fell to 52% amazingly I lived. Afterwards I was diagnosed with narcolepsy this doctor would not listen and he believed everyone wanted strong supplements. He was very judgmental. He assumes to much to be a good doctor

Horrible bedside manners. Very dismissive. He didn't listen well and automatically suggested as a candidate for surgery without getting the biopsy done first, which was the reason being referred to him.

Dr Ghent was very attentive and motivated to get to the bottom of my problem. I'm very happy with treatment I received.

Doctor Ghent was dismissive and inattentive. Likewise, it appears he takes the position that what he thinks about pain is what the person should feel - not what the patient is experiencing. If you are his patient, listen very carefully.....you may want a second opinion. I obtained one, and glad I did.

Had to be checked for breathing issues, Dr Ghent and staff were outstanding

I had appointment with this physician today and was completely disappointed. His bedside manner was non existent. I’ve been prescribed a certain medication for sleep for years at this point, by a pain management doctor. It’s NOT AN OPIATE. He basically shamed me for being on that certain medication. The only medication mind you that would help with my chronic pain and sleep issues. He was rude and very condescending. The only thing that’s keeping me from giving him one star is because of his staff. They were great. One last thing, I heard him talking to his staff about how much of a dump his NE office is and one of nurses was bit by some kind insect. Save your time and your money. Find someone that will look at the issues you have and that will understand those issues. This “doctor” won’t.

Disgusting Dr and workers. Liars and abusers. harmful.
